Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Close to retirement

Retirement is fast closing in on me.  I have worked in the auto industry for most of my adult life.  With another two years to go I am looking at taking a long trip around the U.S.A. and visiting new places.  I don't expect to be full-time in the sense that we want to do this over the period of a year in one giant loop.  That is not to say that we won't go on month long or other trips after we complete the big one.  We will keep our current home in Federal Way, Washington.

We purchased an travel trailer two years ago and last year we purchase a new 2010 Chevy 2wheel drive Crew Cab for our tow vehicle
Camping in Cle Elum, Washingto

We are currently planning our trip using state tourism guides, the internet and sites such as this one.  We hope to learn from those with more experience and help others along the way.
Ken

Welcome to the forum, Kenneth. smile

Lots of friendly folks here, so if you have questions, be sure to ask. And, remember, there are no "dumb" questions here on this forum, as we all know that everyone has to learn. Most of us have had to learn the hard way and will be glad to help you avoid the pitfalls.

Good luck on your big trip.

Jim

Welcome to the forum Kenneth. Yes do ask your questions. If you think of things I haven't thought of we both will learn.

Let me add our welcome as well.  If you've been reading the RV Dreams forums for very long, you probably already know how friendly folks here are.  Good luck with the planning and we will welcome all your questions and comments.

Terry
