Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Anyone going to the Tampa RV show this year that's from RV-Dreams? Thought I'd start a list, we're going this year. 2011 Florida RV SuperShow January 12-16 Florida State Fairgrounds Tampa, FL

We are thinking about driving up from Naples for a day. I understand that NuWa will have some new HitchHiker 5th wheels there and we'd like to see them.

We'll be in central and southern FL for Dec and a lot of Jan if you want to meet and talk about Nu Wa we've liked our Hitchhiker II a great deal. That said there are a couple of things to be aware of nothing major or to be worried about.

Thanks Mallo, that would be great if we can work it out to meet. If you want, PM me with where you'll be staying and perhaps we can get together to talk about Hitchhikers and RVing in general.
We'd like to meet anyone that's going on Thursday, January 13 about noon at Floating restaurant in the East midway. Here's a map. There's been some mention that Thursday is great for vendors having a bigger selection.

Yes, Thursday is a good day to go to the show. That has been true in the past, especially if you’re planning just a one day visit to the show. However, Thursday is the 13th of January. I assume we’re all reading the same calendar for 2011. Thursday, January 13th.
We’ve set that as our tentative date now that others have chimed in.Question is, using Howard’s word from Saturday’s post, will H&L make an “appearance” at the show on Thursday?{Grin}
If Thursday, the 13th, is the date.... we will try to be there. We probably will be at the show a couple of days so one of those can be the 13th. Hope to see as many RV-Dreamers as possible :o)))
I wish we were going to be there again this year. We had plans and even a spot booked in Port Richey. But you know plans.............man plans and God laughs. Now we are not going to be there. *sigh
Have fun everyone who is going.
I am going to the rally April though. Can't wait for that.
Vicky

The Brideandjoy and I are planning to be there most days so yes we'll be there on Saturday as well.
I have a question on the directions link above. The show address is on Hwy 301, but the directions tell me to turn right onto Orient Rd which is further west of Hwy 301. We're coming from Naples so will exit I-75 at MLK Blvd and go west.
Can anyone clarify for me? We went a couple of years ago and thought I turned right on 301.
The other Bill and Linda!

Looks like we are going to make it also, Thank's Dee for the info about the campground where your friends are staying. They did have a site available just a short move from Cedar Key. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I-75 to Exit 260B, which is MLK / SR-574, go west 2 miles on MLK / SR-574, turn right on 301 N.Entrance to Fair Grounds on the left about a 1/2 mile give or take. This brings you in on the east side of the Fair Grounds and works great. Orient road will work, its just further and having lived in Tampa I recommend the 301N entrance. YMMV.

OK, thanks. That's the way we went 2 years ago so will follow that route again. Look forward to meeting the other other Bill and Linda!
Per our request, Dave Kelly, Marketing Director for the Florida Supershow, sent us 20 passes for the show. Each pass is good for two people ($20 value, but does not include parking fee). Passes are good for any day of the show.
So, if anyone wants to send me a private message or email with your address, we can mail you a pass this week or next ... as long as they last.
We're planning on being there on the 13th. Lunch sounds great!!! We'll be coming from Wauchula.

Delaine and Lindy will be there on the 14th and 15th just reserved a Hotel room. Make sure if your staying in a Hotel you question the price. We were quoted $99.00 a night, but told them they were listed on the Hotel site for $79.00, we got the $79.00 price. Free trans to and from the RV Show. We decided to not bring the Mobile Suites, we are in Sebring, Fla about 80 miles South of the Fair grounds. Hope to see y'all there.

Sorry to say we won't be coming. We're both feeling a bit under the weather and speaking of weather the cold and wind doesn't help. Have fun and hope to meet up with you all somewhere down the road!
Just and FYI...we are having an area RVer lunch in Lakeland on the 31st. If anyone is interested and hasn't been in contact with me, please email froggi.donna at gmail.com
We currently have 10-12 couples who are blogging and forum friends.
Hi Everyone.....Hubby and I went to the RV Supershow today and will be back tomorrow to meet everyone. Are we meeting at 11am or Noon?? Can't wait to catch up with everyone.....the show is GREAT!! Bundle up though, the wind is pretty chilly!!! See you tomorrow!!!

Sorry we didn't make it to the RV show today "Things" happened, and it just wasn't in the cards for us to travel to Tampa. Sorry we missed it. Hope everyone had a great time.....we will try again on Friday
Thank you to everyone that came out in the cold to the Tampa RV show and gathering at the floating restaurant. It was great seeing everyone and hope you found a bargain or two. The vendors were mostly parks, but that was a good thing.
Thank you Linda and Howard, it's been great meeting with the group you've started here on the forum and website.

We had a great time at the show today....just blogged about it. Still open to anyone wanting to come to the Lakeland luncheon on the 31st. Please contact me for information.
So what wonderful things did you lucky people find down there? Those of us who are still working up here in the frozen north would like to know.
I've seen some discussion of Heartland's newest, the Bighorn Ti32, that uses the intellectual property they purchased from the now-defunct Titanium line. Have any of you seen it? What do you think of it?
