Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Today we notice a hummmmming. Just flushed the toilet and noticed the hum minimized/went away with the - oh what's it called - I know the correct term - flush pedal pushed down and the clapper? open.
Are we about to explode?
Is something stuck in the vent?
Is this "normal"?
I flushed the tanks earlier today, BTW. I think I noticed the hum sometime after flushing . . .
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Perhaps you have some leaves stuck up there that are "thrumming" like a reed in a musical instrument?

This is an electrical-type humming. Again, it stops when the flush foot pedal is pressed and the ball flapper thing opened . . . as when flushing.
Sensor since earlier today has gone from 1/3 full now back to full.
Of course, the silly sensor never has really worked???
It is not the hum of anything blowin' in the wind. Again, a steady electrical-sounding hum, like something running.
Call me perplexed!

Do you have a black tank flusher? I hope this isn't the problem, but could the water still be turned on to the flusher? I know mine makes a hum type sound when I am flushing the tank, and when you flush the toilet the water pressure drops and the hum stops until you let up the pedal...

I thought of that too, but just checked and it was turned off - the water supply to the flush, that is, was off.
It is now a bit after 4 AM EST and we have been mopping up a flood since about 2:15 AM.
We are livid and strongly looking at pursuing Lemon Law. With all the problems with this rig, this is the limit.
