Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Found a Deal in Bradento!n we could not pass up!

Without winter jobs in line, we had decided to find a park in Bradenton and stay put for a few months, but had plans to head up through TN, NC and then on to Indy to stay with our grandson while his parents were in CA on business and then come back for Nov. and Dec. and stay for two month. How quickly things can change.

We had found a park that seemed to suit hubby for $590 a month, with utilities included. This was cheap next to some of the parks so we decided to take it. It is a bit of a shady park (in essense and in reality)...rather run down but definitely Old Florida in feel and look. Thought hubby would be happy there as it is on a river and quaint. We were going to stay two days there, then leave and come back by Nov. 1st.

My daughter suggested that we look at the RV park behind their fenceline (the other was just about a mile from them) and we did. It is so lovely, with a 25 acre fishing lake in the center, and lots of permanent residents in park models and double wides, etc., but also RV spaces too. I went into the office and was told it was $525 for October, then they are running a special for $199 per month for Nov and Dec, plus $15 electrical fee per month. $214 per month, in otherwords. What a great deal and such a nice surprise.

We got a spot right on the fenceline which just happened to be available in this large park, and we move in tomorrow.

It has a great pool and clubhouse, and is a truly lovely park with a deal we simply could not pass up. Plus the office staff is wonderful. So, we plan to find outside seasonal work here, live near family and enjoy life. We are thrilled!

I will fly up to Indiana for about a week to fulfill a family obligation and then come back on the 26th of October. Hubby, who LOVES the new park and prefers it "100 percent" to the one I thought he'd love, will be home with our furry kids in my absence.

It all worked out much better than we could imagine. Just goes to show that life is fickle and we have to learn to go with the flow.
