Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Slide Motor

Hi i have  Carraige Chaise fifth wheel, not sure of the year...it is 40ft long with 3 slides. The gears in one of the motors have worn away and broken resulting in the motor unable to work. I have contacted the manufacturer of the motor Barker, to see if they can sell  me one or the gears but no joy so far, Same off Carraige.

Does anyone know what year the chaise was made, and has anyone ever bought a new or second hand barker motor or the gears and from where?

Call Greg at Barker 1-800-537-9940. He is very knowledgeable about the drive motors and what coach has what. I recently had to have a speciality drive built as I was mounting it on the opposite side.

Try this website...you may find an answer

The year of your coach should be posted in two places. There should a manufacturers sticker somewhere on the outside of the 5th. Mine is located near the controls for the landing gears. On the inside, you should have a build sticker/sheet. These are usually glued onto the inside of a cabinet door or near the breaker box.

I believe there is a Carriage owners forum or club website where you may be able to get answers. Do a google search.
