Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Howdy from Carolina

Hi everyone. I'm actually saying hi again to this forum and to my RV dream! I first became interested in the idea in a serious way back in 2007. I researched it for about a year and then life kind of got in the way. Now I'm feeling that call again and so I'm back to doing my homework and making some tentative plans.

We would most likely start out in a part-time capacity, traveling to craft fairs and the like during Spring and Summer and then gradually working up to filltiming from there. My goal of getting on the road is probably about 5 years out, for several reasons, but mostly that has to do with the ages of my kids. Our youngest is just one and I'm just not up to that, lol. Also we are working on how we will make a living on the road.

My 18yo daughter and I are launching a craft business that we hope to take on the road and should be up and running with it online pretty soon. I'll be writing about our plans and our journey at my blog Sweet Scenes & Daydreams (see siggy for link).

I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all (some of you again!) and learning all I can.

Blessings
Melinda
