Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Ok no one told me that waiting was going to be the hardest thing to do when it came to fulltiming. The only way for me to calm down was to resign myself to the fact we are probally going to have to spend another winter in Illinois, and that makes me shiver already. Our house has been on the market only 3 months and it seems like 3 years. We have had 2 deals on it and both fell through. We have looked at so many trailers I don't even want to look anymore, although we do know what we want now, but can't get it until house sells. We have already gotten rid of a lot of stuff 1 more sale will probally do it but also can't have that yet either. My other problem is I retired about a month ago and I am runing out of things to do I have mowed my lawn so many times I think I have worn it out ha ha. Any way just wanted to vent a little and this is a good place to do it.
Larry, I know the feeling. Due to stock market conditions I had to work an additional year past when I had originally planned. That meant another Colorado winter freezing outside keeping others warm( Worked for the Gas Company). Then the housing market went to the dickens and I spent another winter in town after I retired before selling the house.Keep your mind busy planning and all the sudden it will happen. We have been on the road Since April and are loving it. Keep the faith!

RVing probably not a reality any more.It was a good time while it lasted.
We understand how you feel. Our house has been on the market for 5 months with only 1 offer that didn't fly. Did have showing yesterday but haven't heard anything from it.
We bought our RV with financing in May knowing that it would be paid off after the house sales. Then, Then, Then we moved into it. We are actually living in the RV. All of our furniture with the exception of 3 pieces has been sold. We've had 3 yard sales and are waiting on a house contract before having the final sale.
Want to be out on the road so bad we can taste it but looks like we're going to sit here thru the winter again. We decided to do this last November and never dreamed it would take this long to get "free".
Well, I'm not meaning to scare you with this comment, but Jo and I have had our home up for sale for a bit over 2 years. Still have lookers, but no one has even made an offer yet.
We are still optimistic, though, because our home is in a higher price range than most in the area, and it only takes one buyer to make it work out.
Don't get discouraged. Use the time for research on the forums to learn as much as you can about every aspect of RV equipment and fixes to problems and any other related topic. We researched for two years in making our decision for a fifth wheel, but in spite of that, I STILL have a lot to learn about our unit.
Terry
