Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I know this will be very case by case, but a former fulltimer said many times there are small bars that have live music near (ish) campsites. I will be working nights, and my sweet husband loves music-is what my friend said true? Have you found that many times there is a little bar with bands relatively close by?
It only gets worse, the more you like him the straighter he gets. Kinda like Red Skelton's character Klem Kadiddlehopper, "I calls them the way I sees them!"
George cuts to the chase and the bottomline! He keeps us verbose people in line.

It seems to go hand in hand.... remote campground and along the way to the campground you'll see a roadhouse or small bar/cafe on the same road.
At first, I was going to say no in my answer and then I thought about 4 of our favorite remote campgrounds and realized I remember seeing small bars along the route leading to the campgrounds. Plus many of the other places we stay are within a few minutes from small to medium to large cities so bars are plentiful.
We have stayed at two campgrounds where the convenience store/office complex also had a bar/cafe.
I hadn't really paid attention before, so thanks for the reality check.
The RV resort we are at right now has a couple of bar/restaurants within walking distance. One is upscale the other is more down to earth. Both have some form of music, live or DJ during the weekend.
So yes it is common.
