Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

we got a temp. fix

TO update our status - as I posted a few days ago - we sustained damage due to tangling with a barrier and losing near a diesel pump.    We took rig to dealer in Hooks Tx and due for various reasons they we can not get to make repairs for 3 to 4 months.  However, they are great!

They did a temp fix by bolting back wall to the side.  THey told us they would have it ready to roll late yesterday or early today.   We got there noon yesterday to find it was DONE.   We took off around 3 headed back to NJ where we will take it to the deale rwe bought it from.

Our plans were to be in NJ during the next 2 months anyway.

The cost of the temp repair?  Only $124 and the insurance company will reimburse.

It sure was great sleeping in our own bed last night.

We are currently on I40 around Memphis.  Lots of construction and tight passageways.  I hear Len sucking in his breath!

Glad that you are on your way to NJ and that you were able to get the temporary fix! Hopefully you will get good news from the dealership when they check out your rig. :)

Just a suggestion but since you have a Montana I would take it to the factory for the repair. The service center there has hookups, and a dump station. The Montana service center does excellent repairs. I have been there twice when we owned a Keystone products, Daryl will take good care of you. And the repair will be done very correct and professionally.   And the replacement parts will be available and you want have to wait on them.    GBY...

Well it's good to know about the service center at the Montana factory.  Didn't know about that - only that Allegro has one.

We have just bought a 2009 37' 4 slide Montana.  In fact we're picking it up tomorrow.  Nervous as a "cat on a hot time roof" and worried about getting it thru all that traffic on a Friday.  The dealer is actually way on the south side of the city which we must travel thru to get it back  home - about 115 miles.  Here's hoping we don't need to go there by the time we get that thing home and parked.

We had thougth about going to the factory. However, Len has a temp job in NJ waiting on him. Also, we promised daughter we will be "home" for granddaughters first BD on June 10.

Since they have to custom make the part to match, as it is the whole back wall, would there not be a wait anyway?

Been through two rain showers and so far no leaks!! Yippee!

Len just told me he called Keystone and they told him that they would send us to a dealer to do the repairs.
