Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi everyone I have been reading post for awhile and decided to introduce myself as today the journey offically starts. We just put our home on the market and will be buying a motorhome shortly for full time RVing. I am retired but still work part time just to keep busy and my wife also works part time I have just started a blog about the process we will be going through. http://lkontheroad.blogspot.com/2010/05/here-we-go.html plan to be south by winter.
Well, it looks like the beginning of both your posting on the RV Dreams forum and your blog. Good luck with both.
Since you have been lurking for a while, you have probably already discovered that there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that are very willing to help with answers to questions and even some unsolicited advise.
While we all try to be as close to topic as possible, occasionally we feel the need to caution about things that could be either harmful or overly expensive.
Welcome to the group and feel free to ask and answer the questions or offer the advice.
Have fun with the research and looking for an RV.
Terry

Welcome to the forum. Haven't had a chance to check out your blog yet, but will do so soon. As questions come up, be sure to ask. Like Terry said, there's lots of friendly folks here willing to help in any way they can.
Good Luck,
Jim

I've added your blog to the list that I follow. I like to see what others are doing as they prepare to fulltime. We plan on to start our adventure in about a year. I see from you blog that you are from Illinois as we are and can understand wanting to get away from our winters. Hope your house sells quickly and you can head south before winter.
Welcome!! This is a great place to read, learn and make new friends. Will give your blog a read. Good luck on selling your house. We started full-timing in August after going through many hurdles and I am happy to say.....this lifestyle is worth everyone of them. It is awesome.
