Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We have a unit!

This past Friday, we finally made a deal on a 5er after looking for almost 6 months.  We will be picking it up next Friday, 5-21 and will be the owners of a 2009 37' Montana Tenth Edition 3605RL.  It is barely used and the price was unreal.

It has almost all the luxuries including a 5.5 LP Onan generator for roughing it.  Of course, we may not find a place to rough it in a 37' unit.  Our original plan was for a max of 35'.

When we get it loaded we will be slightly overweight so will need to do some upgrades to our truck or else trade.  I think we're going with the upgrades that we have been told can be done and increase the weight limit by about 3,000 pounds which will give us plenty.

Now, we only need the house to sale.  I think its good that we'll have to store it as we have no room to park it here at home.  At lease we won't be looking at it everyday.  But I'll bet we see it often as I'm sure we'll start furnishing it as soon as we get it home.

Please keep our house sale in your Prayers that God will send a legit buyer soon.

Thanks, Judy & Bob

Congratulations on finding the rig for you.  I remember spending WAY too much time at RV shows and on line looking and calling and going to see and pros and cons and what if and then I the right rig showed up about 8 miles from home in a really non RV part of Virginia.   I can imagine how exited you are now about getting on the road.  Best of luck with everything.

This isn't our first rig but our first 5er and we have not had anything for about the last 5 years.  We have camped all our lives starting in a tent, then a TT, followed by 4 motor homes.

But in our hopes to go FT we decided we wanted a 5er.  So we've had to do a lot of studying and ask a lot of questions - some of them being very stupid ones.  And, we've made a few mistakes along the way.

We are really excited now that we've found a unit.  Just need this S & B to sell.  SOON!

Thanks for all the replies,

Judy

Congratulations!!!   I feel your pain in selling your home.  It took us a year.  We were so anxious to start fulltiming.   However, it finally happened and we officially started fulltiming on May 1st.  It will happen, but being patient is so hard! aww
