Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We made our trip to N.C. and brought home our Jayco. It has a couple small issues, and we found out the hard way that the warranty does not follow the unit. The seller says that he will honor the warranty even though Jayco will not. Guess I didn't do my homework well enough, thought Jayco was above that. We made the purchase with the understanding that there was 8 months left on the manufactures warranty, Jayco says if the original buyer sells, then warranty is no longer valid. If they are going to use this as a loop-hole not to honor their products then maybe we should consider not making any purchases of any of the Jayco Products. Before making any purchase, ckeck out all options, Buyer & Seller!!!!!!!!! Beware.

Sorry to hear you found out what I have felt for years. Most warranties are not worth the paper they are written on no matter which manufacturer you buy from. I'm probably in the minority in thinking that. Hope your issues were small.

Sorry to hear that's been your experience George. I've got to say our Cameo came with a 2 year bumper to bumper and I never had any problems getting service. And I never went back to the dealer I bought from.
We were traveling all over and when something went wrong we visited the nearest Carriage dealer and once had service from a local RV guy. Never cost me a cent.
We are still happy with our Jayco just a little bummed-out that Jayco will not honor their 2 year warranty when 1st buyer sells. I emailed Jayco customer service today with my concerns, haven't heard back yet. I did get a confirmation that they had received my email and gave me an 800 # so I will give it a couple days then call.
I have read before that towing a unit down the road is equivalent to a 6 or 7 magnitude earthquake. Things are going to happen. The only major issue we have is while on our return trip part of the metal under the nose came loose and a couple of the panels were damaged. Found a couple of the screws in the bed of the truck. I called customer service and found a dealer with-in 25 miles of where we were. They were very helpful, they said that they were 3 weeks out but since we were traveling thru they would work us in. They did not have the materials or time to replace the damaged panels but did get us in good enough shape to get home. They also have a nice RV park next door. If you are ever traveling I-70 East of Kansas City and need repairs give these people a shout. Trailside RV, Grain Valley Missouri exit 24 on I-70.

I probably overstated my feelings about warranties a little Fred, as I just did have a positive warranty issue with Forest River on my Cedar Creek.You are fortunate in owning a Carriage product as I feel they are in the top 3 in customer satisfaction from what I hear.In fact we almost bought one before we found our present rig.I will modify my response to many warranties are not worth much. 2fortheroad it never hurts to talk to the factory rep and see if they would at least help you out as a gesture of good faith.Just remember when you speak with the rep that honey catches more flies than lemons.

This is a nice looking rig. My choice were Big horn, Big Country, Designer, Montana and Challenger. Until recently our first choice was the designer but a dealership close to my parents place had many specimens of the BH, BC and Montana that were so sugar coated that we had to take one of them home. BH 3410 RE.
But enough about me. Congrats on your new home... she has a nice rear end.
