Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

This Could Be It

I have posted before about the trials and tribulations we have faced in trying to sell our house so we can begin our fulltiming dream.

Well, I think this may be it.  We have an accepted offer and their financing has been secured.  The inspection was on Saturday so we are waiting to hear what he has to say.  We already had an inspection two months ago from a previous offer, and we fixed all the minor items that guy listed.  So, we don't think there should be any problems regarding the inspection.

If all works out, we close May 21st.  I'm cautiously hopeful!

We spent the weekend packing the 5er.  We're not done yet, but made great progress.  I'm waiting to hear back from the estate/moving sale woman.  We're moving forward!  Can't wait to start living that dream! biggrin

Good luck! Maybe you just had to wait for the right buyer to come along and hopefully this is the one.  We'll be crossing our fingers too!

I too have a contract on my home.  Inspection completed today, waiting on results.  Hope they do not nit-pick too much.  Am optimistic about it, since I reduced the price and the buyer has been told what my views are.  With luck, I will be full-timing by the middle to end of May.  smile

Thanks for all good wishes and the crossed fingers.  It's working.  The inspection report is back, and there are a few minor items we will fix, but that's it.  The appraiser comes tonight.  That should be no problem as we sold it for under an appraisal we had done last October.

Yesterday I gave my notice at work.  Next Friday is my last day.  I can't tell you what a fabulous feeling it was.  I have been very unhappy at my work due to an extremely nasty co-worker, and it felt good to say "I'm out of here".  She hasn't said one word to me about it.  Everyone else has been extremely supportive and happy for me.  So many people say they are envious.  Seems like there are lots of people longing for freedom.

Kind of reminds me of Johnny Paychecks song "Take This Job And Shove IT".
