Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi, my wife and I are ´wannabes´ and we can hardly wait to retire . ( counting the days ) We are dreaming of getting a class A 34' to 40', but there is so much to choose from. That's OK we have time ( 5 years ) to look around ,,,,

Welcome to the forums at Howard and Linda's website. If you have been lurking any at all, you will have noticed there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here. Feel free to ask questions. There are no dumb questions, just an occasional smart-alecky answer.
Take you time in researching, and leave your options open on what kind of RV you want to get. I know of folks that had a 38 foot motorhome, but after going to Howard and Linda's Texas rally in October, they now are going with a Ford F450 and a fifth wheel. They saw the advantages of fifth wheels and decided that was best for them.
Jo and I have also looked at both motorhomes and fifth wheels. We now have our Ford F450 and our fifth wheel should come in about mid April.
Have fun with your researching, and we look forward to hearing more from you.
Terry

Thank you all for welcoming us to the community. My wife and I have talked about possibly buying a pickup and 5th wheel but my wife doesn´t want to climb in and out of a truck because she´s short and we like the idea of having everything in one vehicle and towing a little car (something like a Smart car perhaps?) G and T
Sherri and I have changed RVs 12 times over the past 35 years. Everything from pop up campers to Class A MH. We finally found our nitch and love this lifestyle. Hope to see you here again.
5 years may sound like a long time, but it may go by really fast for you.
As far a s Motor Homes are concerned, you can find some really good used ones that will serve you well.
Good luck with your plans.
Keep on dreaming and they'll come true.
Jim

Welcome aboard,,, you will find all the info needed to start making good choices while getting ready to fulltime. Have fun with the planning,,, it IS part of the journey.
Welcome to the forum! I know you will find a wealth of information on this website, as we did. We are also looking to retire (in 2 years) and buy a class A DP. We've waffled back and forth between that and a class A gas, and fifth wheel. Who knows, we're going to the rally and that may change our minds!
some of us didn't have to to practice by getting various rv's over the years so we are also trying to get it right the first time... here is to your dream...
Welcome! There is a ton of information here for us "wannabees"! I can't believe how much I've learned from this forum. IMO, it is the best of the best!

The options out there can be mind boggling. We went to a number of rv shows over the years, and Mike did a ton of research on the internet to help us find ours. This forum and website in general contain a wealth of information on rv's and the full-time lifestyle.
Happy hunting!
Terri
