Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
So we have made an offer on a 2011 Heartland 3385RL - I feel like we are getting a good price, but how do you know? I know that I have done some research for a while and we are some where 30% off of MSRP but is that the best deal I can get or have I left any on the table. I know that everyone goes through this, even if it is new or used. I really wish there was a way to find out what similar units have sold for. What it comes down to is every penny saved is a penny closer to debt free and freedom. I think this is a good time to buy because prices will probably go up as well as finance rates. Oh decisions decisions. What to do. Any thoughts from anyone??
Confused but excited

From what we we have learned is to make an offer that you feel good about. Don't feel bad about asking for 40% or more. Whats the worst can happen, they say no?

Unless everyone comes back and says they got 50% off MSRP I wouldn't worry about a couple of percentage points more. It's like a car, no matter how good a deal you get, there is always someone in the group that says they got a better deal. Then when you start comparing apples to apples you find out that the better deal was because the car had less options than yours. Good luck on your purchase
Well we did it, we have placed the order for our future home. We ordered a Heartland Big Horn 3355RL. We should have delivery in 4 weeks or less. One more step towards our dream. Unfortunatley we will not have it for the Rally for everyone to see, but I am sure that we will see many of you on the road.

Congratulations! One step closer to your dream. Our home closes in April and then we get serious in our looking Looking forward to meeting you at the rally.
I believe if it feels right you did the right thing. The other way to look at it might be what Howard and Linda say about campgrounds, if it has the "IT" factor then you are sure to like it. Hope to see you down the road.
Congrats!!!!! The main thing you are happy, and that is what counts the most.

Thanks to all - we are very happy with our decision and can't wait to get delivery in a few weeks. Until then we have the Rally to look forward to and who knows after that. Thanks again.
