Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Plans have been Excel--erated!!

smilesmilesmile  One week ago I introduced ourselves and stated "at this time we don't own an RV or a truck to pull it."  Well, this past weekend we went to the Virginia RV Show in Hampton and we are now in the process of purchasing a new Excel Limited 36GKE.  In a couple weeks, we will be going up to the dealership to spend a couple nights in it.  We met two really nice couples at the show who are also proud new owners of Excel Limiteds.  We all decided to go the same weekend and we will have our own new owners rally.  Terri and I were not planning on making an RV purchase this past weekend but things just have a way of working out.  Sometimes you just have to "go for it."  If things go as planned, I will be cancelling our reservations at the Hampton Inn and we will be attending the 2010 RV-DREAMS.COM Rally in our new future full time home. smilesmilesmile

Congratulations on the new home. We attended the 08 and 09 rally but due to selling of the home and retiring April 30th we will not make the 10 rally. I know y'all will have a great time and make many new friends and the RV-Dreams family continues to grow. See ya down the road. Our dream starts May 1, 2010.

Stay Safe

Congratulations on your new trailer. It would be great if you can take it to the rally. The 08 rally was our first big event after hitting the road and we found the seminars informative and we made friends there and have kept up with them after the rally through their blogs. We had a lot of fun there also. I hope you love your Excel as much as we have. Have you found the Excel owners forum?

Congratulations on your purchase of an Excel!  We love our unit and hope you will love yours just as much. Here is a link to the Excel forum http://www.irv2.com/forums/f116/. Lots of information to be had on the site so don't hesitate to introduce yourselves and get involved in discussions.

I'm sure the RV-Dreams Rally will be a lot of fun in your new home.

Congrats on your new home!!!!   Don't cancel your hotel reservation just yet!  Willow Tree is full for the week of the rally.  We have heard that it is "Bike Week" and you may have trouble finding something available.

I'm so excited for you. We have a new Excel30RSO and hope to move into it in about a month. I love the plan you chose, we decided to go smaller or that would have been in the mix. We went to the factory last summer and feel they are solid rigs with a great company backing them. Welcome to the Excel family!

“Terri and I were not planning on making an RV purchase this past weekend but things just have a way of working out.  Sometimes you just have to "go for it."

I don’t know how to say this, but it almost always happens this way.  You’re not unique.  ‘Just sort of normal RV’ers J

Welcome to the club and safe travels

Sherri and I never planned to buy the last 12 RV's we owned but we did! We know how that happens...and it is so much fun!!! Hope you have a great time at the rally. We are unable to attend this one due to a family outing. We will be at the next one for sure and look forward to meeting you both.

John and Bridget; Janie D.; and Ken and Sarah:  We see that you're on the countdown for your full-time dream.  Congratulations -- we're ecstatic for you!

Terri (of Terri and John):  Love your name!

EVERYONE:  I can't remember the last time that Mike and I were this excited over anything.  We can't wait to meet you all either at the rally or somewhere down the road.

Terri
