Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Well I still can't really believe it, but we are now the proud owners of a 2010Ford F-350 FX4 Dually. She is Pearl blue with a tan stripe at the bottom. There is more options then I thought that I would ever get on a truck. Power everything including memory buttons for the seats. It has the SYNC system, which is a Nav system, Jukebox, Phones, and who knows what else (still learning about all it can do). It even has a moon roof. As for pulling a 5'ver, I don't think that is going to be a problem. It has the 6.4L Diesel with the 4:10 rear alxle. It is able to haul an 18,000lb fifth wheel. I am still in awe that I am driving it. We really weren't ready to buy yet but we have been looking. I was looking at used ones and most of them were asking almost as much for a brand new one. I really didn't want to get an older truck because this needs to last us for years to come. I also didn't want a 2011 with the first year motor. So when I found this one on the dealers lot and it was marked down $12,000 I called them to make sure this was the right price and that they still had it. Needless to say we drove it home. This is my first ever and probably my last brand new vehicle. I know that we will have years of joy with it. Next will be the 5th wheel. One step at a time. I know I have a couple of years to go yet but each step makes it that much more exciting. We will see you all at the rally and I will be glad to show her of during the rig walk throughs. (My 26' TT will probably look small behind her.)
P.S. I will try to post a couple of pictures on our website later today.
Feeling like kids in a candy store. John and Terri

Congrats John and Terri! I've been so impressed with how well Ford has done in the past couple of years to put some real innovation and quality across their entire vehicle lineup. If I were truck shopping, it'd be my number 1 choice!
Enjoy many thousands of happy miles with your new F350!
We have always been Ford fans. I did look at other brands but always came back to the Fords. I know that we will be very happy and get many good years from it.

Sometimes you just have to go for it. We are very happy for you. I have been doing alot of research and searching for just the right truck myself. I'm looking forward to checking out your new truck at the rally.

Yout got a great truck there. (Hubby is a forever Ford Man)
Have fun!
Yeah, I still find it hard to believe that she is ours. ( well ours and the banks). Now all we have to do is work on the 5'ver. We are still hooled on the Montana 3455sa. Still no complaints with yours? We actually have been pricing them and I found a great deal, just not sure now is the time. Well we will wait and see.

Congratulations on your new truck. We also are very happy with our Ford. Now the real fun can begin as you plan for your next big step.
Yeah our next step is finding someone to buy the house and then purchase the fifth wheel. We will be living in the area and still work for a couple of years to pay the bills and save some, but each day and each step puts us that much closer.
By the way ...... great names.

John and Terri - still no complaints. We did just have to have the front landing gear replaced. However, still under warranty. Can't complain about the response from Keystone.
Only thing I wish is that the bedroom closet was deeper. But other than a few minor issues, we still love this unit. It appeas to be a big seller.
Okay guys - now, let's not confuse us. One couple is Terri and John and the other John and Terri. Alrighty then!!!!
Looks like it is a good thing that Jo and I aren't going to the rally. With all the Terri's and Terry's, it could sure get confusing.
But, for John and Terri, the original poster, congratulations on the truck. Just one thing to keep in mind is that what is important is not the towing weight that the truck can pull, but the Gross Combined Vehicle Weight. That is the weight that you need to know when purchasing. If you know your truck weight when loaded and with fuel and people, then it gives you an idea of how heavy of a fifth wheel you can pull.
Have fun in the looking.
Terry
