Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are The Hensons: Kyle (37), Lisa (32), and Kylee (2.5) and we are launching out as FTers next year. We visited the idea a year ago and then decided not to but the idea has resurged with more fervor than ever and we are thrilled and confident this is the lifestyle we want for the 3 of us for now. We may go for 6 months or 6 years...we shall see!
We have not purchased our RV yet...we are paying off all debt this year first. We are planning on attending the Rally in April to meet some folks and learn some things.
This plan just fits us in so many ways. We love to explore new places and things and we think this is the greatest country on earth to do that in! We have really been struggling for the past 2 years to figure out where we want to live. We have had a really hard time connecting with people locally in Delaware (making friends has never been a problem for me in the past) and we can't seem to find peace about re-locating to another place to settle down right now. When I think about this lifestlye--I really feel alive and 'giddy' with excitement.
We have lived in a fifth wheel before--For 8 months, after being forced out of our residence for major home repairs. But, it was stationary and we have never traveled in one.
I am a health insurance broker and will take that business with me on the road. My niche has been in the Medicare supplement market for 10 years. I see a huge need in the RV community for somebody who can cater to the health insurance needs of the RVer. I hope to become that go-to person for RVers!
Thank you for a wonderful resource and for all of your contributions! We hope to meet many of you at the Rally!
Kyle

This is an absolute wonderful place for research on RV'ing, especially full timing. There are a number of other forums and websites to go to, but the participants here are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Feel free to ask questions. There are no dumb questions, but on occasion, you might get a smart alecky answer. Pay not attention to those folks. We are just getting too old to care sometimes.
Welcome and enjoy your stay at RV Dreams.
Terry

Kyle and Family, Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a well thought out plan. As Terry said ask what you want and you will get many answers. We wish you nothing but success.

RVing probably not a reality any more.It was a good time while it lasted.
Welcome to the wonderful world of RV Dreams. It sounds like y'all are getting it all together. You are making good choices; getting out of debt, going to the rally, and planning your future life on the road. It can be an exciting and rewarding lifestyle if you take the time to plan it right and research before buying your RV. We have been fulltiming for 2 1/2 yrs and love it. No regrets. You may be a real asset to people who are looking for a medicare supplemental insurance policy in the world of RVs.

Thank you for the kind welcomes! I hope to meet many of you at the rally.
Just an FYI, we changed our username to "Spirit of 76". It appears there are a couple other Hensons on other forum so for continuity I hope this is okay!
Welcome! See you in April. Evin and I just purchased a DRV Mobile Suites 38RESB4 after touring 6 Elkhart area plants earlier this month. We are about to buy a Ford F450 4x4. Only took us four+ years to do it. Will be glad to share our experiences.
