Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello friends I have met and those I have yet to meet.

I am Vicky and my husband is Ira.  My user name is a blending of the first letters of our names.  I am excited to say that we have decided we are going to take the step and go fulltime...departure date 1 June 2012.  We will put the house on the market in the spring and hope to be travelling by the summer. 

We have 2 years to put the house in order and purge all of our stuff and get finances in order and medical and internet and........ the list goes on and on.  There is so much to do and decide that we are not sure where to start. 

Well I guess we have started by reading.  Not much sense in reinventing the wheel, so we plan to learn by following the research others have done and learn from them.  Use what others have learned and are so willing to share both in here and on blogs and adapt it to our needs. 

I know there will be tons of questions we will be asking as we move further along in our plans.  I know we will find most if not all answers here from this wonderful family.  I know the next two years will both fly by and drag.

Welcome Ivey!! The folks here are top notch.

I am still in the dreaming phase and happened across this site doing some homework. I've read over many topics here and there is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much good information that I've started a spreadsheet that has all kinds of stuff in it.

You'll find this an absolutely great place!

F-350/Ram 3500 type truck, possibly an Airstream or a smaller 5th Wheel.

We are new members too. You are ahead of us by about 1.5 years of being able to "hit the road"! We are keeping our house though, and are just going to be snowbirds. (well, that's our plan anyway).
