Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
First = thanks for all the well wishes from this great family as I recover from Cat Scratch Fever.
I do believe I have turned the corner and am well on the mend. I go for blood work today and see the doctor tomorrow. I pray my liver enzymes have stabilized. Then we will talk about when we can FINALLY pull out. I still tire quite easily but at least I am up, out of bed and even able to do a few things before having to sit back and rest for a while.
We were so disappointed to pull out of our NOMADS project in Texas starting next week. We were scheduled for a project in Kansas starting 4/26. We got notice this week that project is cancelled but one opened up in EL Dorado Springs, MO so we signed up. As we were going to head to Branson after the Kansas project, this works well into our plans.
The weather up and down the east coast was horrid last week when we had planned to leave. Hopefully we will see an improvement when our time actually arrives.
So, again, thank you all and we will start our new adventure once I am completely released from the doctor. Hope to finally meet many of you along the way.
I'm so very happy for you that you are now on the mend! I bet it won't be long before you're on the road!
You mentioned the weather was bad when you were originally supposed to be leaving....well...I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. Perhaps this little delay was meant to be and you'll have much better weather when you depart.
My best wishes for a swift upward rise to feeling yourself again and being healthy. Ya'll will be hittin' the road before us...we'll still be playin' catch-up!
Take care, be well, enjoy! Betty

Sorry to hear about your bout with cat-scratch fever. I didn't know it could be so serious but we are glad to know that you are on the mend. We will be praying for you and hope that you will be able to go on the road soon. I know from the conversation we had in Alabama that you were looking forward to the Nomads project in Texas. We are happy to hear that you were able to line up another project. We are in Texas now headed to Midland to volunteer on a Team Challenge building that was damaged in a tornado. The church project we had planned on going to in Az. has been postponed so we will be doing that one next year. Wishing you the best. Keep us updated and give Leonard our greeting also
God blesss, Allan and Jeanne

Yippee! Just got back from Dr. My liver, spleen and lymph nodes now in normal range. So - we plan of taking off Feb 1. We are paid here until 1/31. Anyway, I really need the next 10 days to rest up. I still tire easily and don't want to face a long ride for the next several days.
