Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
It got me to thinking, what will RVing be like in 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years and so on.....
I bet during the gas shortages in the 70's many thought RVing would die, but it didn't.
How soon will there be an electric powered MH. How about a hovercraft 5th wheel...no drag, easier to tow. Smaller RV's or Bigger due to expanding rooms and rising floors ?
What are your thoughts ????

Norm Payne is one of the quietest gentleman you will ever meet, unless it is when he is hell bent on creating some story to jerk legs nationwide. I would love to see his schematic drawings for this 2012 coach.
It could be his new home they just completed at Rainbow Plantation.
What a guy!!!

I enjoy his writings & rantings. I guess I had missed his 2012 visionary RV short story.
I had some downtime today so I was going through and rereading his stories. Very entertaining.
I just was sitting wondering how far from the truth his vision might be in the next 2 to 5 years, with the number of slides being added to RVs. I saw a 5 slide MH the other day.
I'm still waiting for a 5th wheel with a front slide, it would be great to have another 4 feet expand in the bedroom.

I think you will see a Electric/Diesel in a very short time. Freightliner already has the power plant now but haven't sold any yet because of the cost. My personal use I wouldn't want any electric/Diesel. We do have two slides in our bedroom but they are on each side, they offset each other and does add more room plus we have a fireplace in the bedroom also. When we were at the Drv factory there was a couple there from Texas and they were drawing up plans for a 43' tri axle with 6 slide, it was a Mobile Suites don't know if it ever happened or not but it was being thought about. Drv is already building the 43 footer with the tri-axle. GBY..........
