Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Just diversifying

Moving over from that other forum...been on that since '02.  Always on the lookout for fresh ideas and adventures.  WAY retired and no aspirations of full timing....hard to beat our modest home overlooking a river valley in the mountains of Utah and a long ways from town(s), including our own post office.
We've traveled the western states and BC extensively (excepting CA...lived there for a long time and no interest in returning.  Nothing against the state...it's just, well, been there, done that, I guess).  We go out two, three weeks at a time in the September to June time slot, when school's in and things a little quiet.  Keep our rig at the house for 6 months, store it south in the desert for the other 6....where it's easily extracted for winter use in the southwest.  No winterizing necessary.
Lots of experience with pulling in the mountains...10,700' pass out my front door, 9500' pass out my east door....and I pull both fairly often.  Two laners both.  My TT is 8K lbs, Equal-I-Zer (12K) hitch with the clattertrap mothership pulling.  Can't remember ever having a real bad or a dull moment behind the wheel.
Never pulled east of New Mexico/Colorado, so can't help much there.  Never pulled in Alaska, but have driven there quite a bit.....and I've been all over the states without the TT at one time or another.
I'm so old I don't need the H1N1 vaccine...but I kinda remember the fun I had as a kid.

Anyway....HELLO....and glad to help if I can.  Not afraid to ask for it either.
