Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Out of the Shadows

After lurking around here for a while, I finally made the leap out of the shadows and decided to join the fray. As both wanna be RVers and full timers, DW and I are both excited and somewhat fearful confuse(not the word I wanted) about living in such tight quarters. We are currently both employed full time and live in the Portland, Or area. I've been to a couple forums and very much prefer this one. The members here are more patient with newbie questions and concerns and the the answers are more thoughtful rather than just knee jerk reactions.smile Thank you for that. I will be asking questions as they come to DW and myself.

Welcome to the RV Dreams family!  Don't hesitate to ask questions, there are so many wonderfully helpful people here.  biggrin
Use the "search" feature too, it's a great way to find lots of info about many, many topics.  I look forward to hearing more from you!

I will certainly agree with you in that the RV family here on RV Dreams is made up of a lot of friendly, helpful people.  The knowledge base of individuals with experience on trucks, fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhome can be astounding.

In addition, of the forums that I tend to follow, RV Dreams is by far the most active.  If you ask a question, you can almost be assured that an answer will be coming in a shorter period of time than in other places.

Feel free to ask questions at any time and almost on any topic.  Welcome to the forums.

Terry

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I usually come here to see what's going on before I even check my e-mail.

Welcome to the best RV forum on the net!  Ask away as there are many experienced RV'rs here who have been there and done that!

My day isn't complete until I log on and read Howard and Linda's Journal and then hit the link to this forum to see what's new.

We're still hoping to join the full-time crowd ourselves.

I could "ditto" what everyone else has said.  As you've already discovered, both the RV-Dreams website and the forum are a wealth of information.  Your initial impressions are spot on.  Everyone is very willing to help and share their experiences.  Like wmalefyt, I log in everyday to get my "Howard fix" and see what everyone else has been up to.  It's been a great sense of comfort and reassurance as we make the transition.  Welcome!!

Welcome, this is one of the best forums out there.  I too find myself trying to read this every day.  The people are great and very open and heplful with questions.  Don't hesitate to ask something because usually someone else needs to hear the answers as well.
