Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My hubby and I had listed our RV for sale and we had a nice couple come and look at the RV tonight. After showing them the rig, we got cold feet. We just couldn't stand the thought of parting with it. We had to call the couple and apologize profusely for wasting their time - fortunately they were very understanding. We were very embarrassed at being so wishey washy.
I have only been back to work for two weeks and I already miss the freedom of being able to head anywhere we want. At night I dream of all the great places we visited in the past year and I dream of having that freedom again someday. Only 30 more years until retirement :(
I warned you about trying to get rid of the full-timing bug.
Have a great day,
Jim

I am not a full timer as yet. I sold my TT and it was the biggest mistake I have every made. Don't feel bad you did the right thing following your gut feeling and letting the couple know early you were not going to sell. Since I sold mine I now stop at every dealer and some times go out of my way to stop and walk through the new and used models. I set in them like a kid in a new club house and think about what it would be like to be on the road. I think they call that dreaming.
Keep the Dream alive and go camping every chance you get. Dan

I agree with Dan.....keep your RV and go out in it as far and often as you can. Just think of all the experience you will have by the time you actually set out on your full-time lifestyle. I agree, a year just isn't enough. Hang in there.
Don't feel bad, you have the right to change your mind. Weekends and vacations, will help but let me warn you right up front, weekends seem like the last all of fifteen minutes and a week long vacation is gone in oh I'd say maybe (seems like) 2 days, but you gotta do what you gotta do. A good healthy dose of RV-Dreams daily helps as well.

I guess I should remove your rv from my list of 5th wheels to check out when we head back to SC in Dec. I do appreciate you sending the pics to us and I am glad you will not be giving up the RV lifestyle....I know I would be miserable with no RV. Take care.
