Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Newbies from Michigan

Hello!

We are Mike and Karen, also known as the michigansnorkelers.   Believe it or not, there ARE beautiful, crystal-clear lakes in Michigan!

We are about 5 years from early retirement (8 from full).  We love camping, geocaching, and exploring places we've never been.  We have been to Florida and out west many times.

We also love driving.  We just came back from our first Motorhome trip, a 9 day journey from Phoenix to Seattle in a rented CruiseAmerica motorhome.  See our posts in the Places to Stay section.

We are happy to say that our first experience in a rather small (25') motorhome was just wonderful!  We are both looking forward to doing this again next year.

Welcome to the forum. If you do decide to go full-timing, you've got plenty of time to find the right RV for you, and get ready for the road.

Keep us informed about your future trips.

Jim

Hi and welcome.  We have been through your area.  Presently we are located in Adrian in the back yard at our house even though we are full timers. We do know there are beautiful crystal clear lakes in MI.  We did our first winter away from snow last winter and will not be in it again.   Enjoy your time here and getting ready for your adventures.
