Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
GO HOGS!! On October 3rd, the Hogs are going to be playing the Aggies ---With Patrino at the helm now I think that the Razorbacks are going to go all the way! Of course, I am prejudice since I am a graduate student at the University of Arkansas :)! I have been reading all of the interesting and informative postings on this site for several months and addicted to the full-time lifestyle and plan to go full time in 2 years. Great website and wonderful people. Pig Soieee...

Karen You go girl! I live in Fort Worth,Texas and not too many people are Hog fans here. We fly our Flag every day and TCU, Texas, Aggies and Tech fans in our neighborhood give us a hard time (good nature fun) I am like you I think they will go all the way this year. All I could do is keep up with them on the net, score and written play by play MOSU knew they were in Little Rock. I too am a want-a-be full timer and hope some day before I turn back to dirt I can try my dream.

Thanks for the kind comments. I have one foot in Texas and one foot in Arkansas since I am a native Texan transplanted temporarily in Arkansas. I grew up with the Southwest Conference and the wonderful Cowboy during the Tom Landry days. In the present time, I pledge my alligence to the Razorbacks for they have certainly been the underdogs for a very long time and also to celebrate the exit of Houston NUTT! The year that the Cowboys played the Denver Broncos, I lived in Denver and I threw a Super Bowl party -- and I was the only person rooting for the Cowboys at this party. What happened is my friends picked me up and threw me out of my own party lol and then removed my Texas license plates off of my car! :)) All in good fun -- but justice was served for the Cowboys won!! :)

I tried to get tickets to the game but I would have had to mortgage my 6 grand-kids and that ain't going to happen. Wife would be ok but grand-kids no.

I grew up in Nebraska...once a Husker always a Husker! Connie went to the University of Colorado so she tends to root for the Buffaloes. The day after Thanksgiving is typically the only day we truly disagree...;) But, I'll root for the Buffaloes as long as they're not playing the Cornhuskers. GO BIG RED!!!
The only tickets available are the Public tickets for $125 or the Club tickets for $300. I called my friends in the Alumni Association to find out if anyone had any extra tickets? So far the answer is NOT! I am going to watch the game with friends at one of the watering holes on Dickson Street since the game will be televised here. Cheaper that way! More more to put into my dream RV.:)

Karen; I have not read if the game will be on TV here I am hoping it will be on one of the local station. My daughter went to school in College Station. I will still pull for the Hogs even with all the harassment I get from her.

Tracy; The CornHuskers have all ways had good football. I sometimes pull for them as long as they are not playing the Hogs. Fly your banners high and have a good time watching your team play.

We too are true, die-hard Razorback fans!! Bubbadan, all games will be televised this year -- they announced that last week -- all games on TV -- can you imagine?? Not sure where but one of the ESPN stations would be a good start. We plan to start our fulltime lifestyle in early 2010. It's great to see so many Razorback fans on here!!
Yes it is nice to see such die hard Hog fan respresentation on this site!! ESPN is one of the stations for sure. I heard today that students and fans who were not able to get tickets will be able to watch the game on the JumboTron at the Razorback Stadium. PIG SOIEEEEEE!! GO HOGS!!

The Hogs play the Bull Dawgs, September 19th, in Fayetteville!! That will be a good game --- both very good teams. Of course the Hogs are going run the Dawgs out of town :)

Tar Heel fan here. Being a Tar Heel fan means another year of high hopes ending in losing games we had no business losing and going to some bowl game very few people have heard of. Can't wait for basketball season.
Yes, we know we're on enemy turf....and when we crossed from British Columbia back into Washington a couple weeks ago, the Border Patrol/Customs Agent wasn't sure he should let us into the US if we were Buckeye Fans! He never did ask us if we had any guns or alcohol .
Today is the day the DAWGS get run over by the HOGS :) Should be a very good game. GO HOGS!! We need a good year to make up for last years trail of tears lol!

Okay eating Humble Pie and waving a white flag :)! Talking about a GOOD GAME! The Hogs lost but not by much -- we KEPT OUR HOOVES TO THE GROUND - But the DAWGS outmaneuvered on offense. Great game and Great Teams!! Congratulations U of Georgia but do not discount the HOGS!! We're getting new running shoes for our Hooves :)))

It is hard to be humble when your a HOG fan. I will give credit to the Dawgs they are a good team and we have a lot of work to do on our defense. Looking forward to the next game next weekend now that I can see them on TV. I know this will be a great season. GO HOGS
It is time to look forward to the Cowboy game today.

Alabama just ran over the Hogs Saturday ---- the humility just gets worse!!! We play Texas A&M this coming Saturday in Dallas and let's hope the Hogs have been using their past experiences as benchmarks and are able to implement new strategies. We have a new team and a new coach. We may not make it all the way this year -- but the Hogs never give up trying!! GO HOGS

Ditto! We are Cornhusker fans who live in Nebraska. On home game days, Memorial Stadium on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus is the 3rd largest population center in the state. We are loving Bo Pelini as the new coach. Finally - a stand-up guy who says what he thinks and if you don't agree, tough!

The Tar Heels lost but at least I have the satification of seeing Paterno and Bowden lose on the same day. I think the Tar Heels could win the ACC because that conference is just horrible. There worse than the Big East.
We are Auburn fans. WAR EAGLE. #1 in the division at the moment.
Our first tailgate in the motor home in Auburn for the West Virginia game. Had 12 adults and three kids hunkered down in the Tour to eat and watch the game. I'm still mucking out the MH. Hopefully, we'll be all clean for the RV Dreams Rally.

We're USC fans (formerly lived in So.Calif) but they sure haven't gotten off to a good start this year. Can't be a fickle fan, though. We live in Washington now and those Huskies sure squashed the Trojans a couple weeks ago. Painful!
I know - I weighed in on this topic earlier. However, an article written by Jay Walker, a play-by-play broadcaster from Louisiana, was published on Huskers.com that describes the Nebraska football game day experience very well. What he says is true - it really IS like this.
We are big fans of Nebraska since my husband grew up in Lincoln and went to college there also. We are wintering in Northern Illinois and because we are staying in a RV resort that has no cable we will not be watching the games for the first time in many years.
