Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

It's happening

After 6 months on the big island of Hawaii we have returned to the NW. Since we had already given up our stix and brix we decided to go RVing. I'd been researching for the past 3 months and after initially thinking a 5er was the way to go, I changed my mind and was seriously looking for a class A DP and small 4x4 p/u toad. Three days after we returned to the mainland we headed out to go RV shopping, thinking we would be spending atleast a couple weeks. After looking over a half dozen DPs the 'Good Example' said 'let's look at that 5th wheel over there. You guessed it. We now own a 5er. Three days later we set out to look at trucks. The local dealer just took one in on trade. The color even matched the graphics on the 5er. We now own a truck.

We plan on a couple of local shake down trips and then to Westport, WA to house sit for my sister the first two weeks in November, then down the coast and over to Phoenix for Thanksgiving with my folks. Who knows after that.

What is it with RV shopping...

I said "I'm only going to look at this Travco," but drove it home.

My father did the same thing with the Avion.  Just towed it home and asked for supper.
