Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
For the last 3 weeks I have been coming home after work, changing clothes, throwing the ball for Sam our chocolate lab and then painting trim on the house until dark. I hate painting, it's mind numbing. For the last 2 nights as I paint I keep wondering "what are Howard & Linda and all the other fulltimers doing right now?" Can't get the thought out of my head.
So my question to y'all is: What is a typical evening when full timing?
after answering the normal questions from my two black labs about why I was 10 minutes late for treat time I got a long awaited call that our new fith wheel would be here in 3 weeks another step towards the end of being a rat in the race!!! john
After having a ****tail with our friends and a couple they just met, we made dinner and watched a little TV, while simultaneously surfing and answering emails.
The difference is, our home on wheels is in the Black Hills of North Dakota this week and will be in the Badlands of South Dakota next week, so our days are much more varied and interesting than yours are, I imagine.
I sat here last nite outside in my lounge chair, in N.M., with a warm nice breeze and I watched the beautiful sunset and the Sandia Mountains that are close by us here in our spot at the RV pk. We will be here til the end of Aug. We are still looking at homes in this area. However, we do have reservations for Florida for winter should things not work out for the home deal. Enjoy your new fiver. Southwestjudy

Last night I made some reservations at a campground we are headed to and chatted on RV Dream... then I sat out under the awning and counted the doodle bugs crawling across the patio. Ate some bodaciously good Braum's Ice Cream...while my mind traveled back to all the places that we have seen...Gee what a tuff life.
Thank y'all for the replies. Now that we've made the decision it's gonna be a long 630 some days. Hearing how you spend the evenings makes me work faster to get the house ready to sell!
Watched a rainbow over Lake Almanor from our fifth wheel window.
Had a little dinner while watching the finale of "So You Think You Can Dance"; then watched a little "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel while Linda enjoyed an ice cream sandwich and I had a creamsicle.
Linda played Bejeweled on Facebook, then did some beading while I did computer stuff. Asleep by 11:00.
We sat and watched TV after an emotional, exhausting day of attending the funeral of Linda's aunt.
Thank heaven our house has wheels and we were in the area when she passed away.
Jim

Paddled a kayak up the Schroon River and back, B-B-Q'd a burger for dinner, watched the Red Sox / Yankee game, and had an ice cream sandwich. Ruff life out here, this fast pace is giving me stress!!

Have to agree with Fred on this one. Evenings are quiet, bed by 10. The days however, can be whatever we want them to be. The main criteria for us is that it is not below 70 degrees during the day. Currenty in the mountains above Salt Lake City, watching the boaters out on the lake.
Fred's right evenings can be boring sitting out around the fire watching the Brideandjoy toast a couple of marshmallows. Listening to the birds, go in read a bit or do the forums thing or watch some TV.
It's really quite dull.
Unless your at one of the orgy optional campgrounds.
Not being a "fulltimer" and still being tethered to "the house," my brother (that is presently here visiting from the Phillipines) and I went on a 200 mile motorcycle ride from central Kentucky to Nashville and back....wind blowing in our faces, the smell of new mown hay, cattle in the fields...not the Rockies, but satisfying for the time being....till I can camp again....glad you all are doing well and enjoying all of Gods' blessings out there....Marty
