Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Just wanted to say that while we sometimes spend more time on line, lately we have just been having too much fun and haven't participated in the forum much. Travel to Alaska is just enthralling and we doubt that is going to change until we get back into the lower 48 in September.
I guess that is why others drop out for months at a time.
Hope all goes well with everyone else. As always we are greatly blessed and enjoying the good life.
Larry and Jacki

Can't think of a better reason not to post on the forum!
Have a great time!!!

You can rent a small Class C on the big island of Hawaii and tour around and count that. We have been to Hawaii multiple times staying in motels and condos, but not done the RV thing there either. Alaska was great in 2006 and some good friends are up there right now blogging.

Oh WOW!! Don't apologize. I can't think of a better reason to be busy. Alaska is our dream trip and I imagine we will be out of touch during that time also.
Just have tons and tons of fun and tell us all about it when you return.
You might think of keeping in touch though. Many campgrounds and libraries, coffee shops have access and you can pick up a lot of tips on places to go and things to see from bloggers that are up there with you.
We got loads of information and made a number of lasting friends from people we met last year in Alaska. There's a great deal of camaraderie up there and just about everybody is online and posting to either RV.net or Escapees.
Well having lived in Alaska for almost 30 years, I hope you enjoy our beautiful state. It has been a wonderful place to live, and the sights are amazing and breath taking.
This Sept. we are relocating to Florida the winters are just getting too hard to take. We purchased a 5th wheeler toy hauler and a F350 dually to tow it. We bought a place in Florida this spring and will put our Alaska home on the market next summer. Our plans are to travel during the hot Florida summers taking our motorcycles and riding the places we have dreamed of and breathing in the beauty of the rest of the USA. There are so many places we want to see it is hard to decide where to start. Hubby just retired in Jan. and we spent almost 3 months in Florida with family and decided we liked being warm in the winter. So we are getting ready to begin a new chapter in our lives and we are excited to see where our new adventure takes us and what we will discover along the way.
Larry and Jacki, Hello! Just noticed that you are from Las Cruces. Looked back at some of your posts and see you still have a home and daughter here. Next time you are here, let us know - we'd love to meet you for coffee and hear about your travels. Ron and Donna Markey Las Cruces, NM 2inthewind@comcast.net

Still in Alaska and lovin it. Weather is beautiful this year with only 3 rainy days since May 30. Saw Denali on the first try, black bears, brown bears, grizzly bears, moose, caribou, bison, stone sheep, dall sheep, golden eagles, bald eagles, red salmon, king salmon, halibut and more. Sorry still just having too much fun to post more. Met RVers from every state including several from NM and of course many from Europe. What a life but somebody has to do it.
Happy travels, Larry and Jacki
