Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We're on the road after 37 years

Hey Dreamers...Sherri and I are on the road after 37 years of dreaming about it. Sherri is still working 3 days a week off 4 until she gets ready to retire. I have been kicking around the idea of working the same schedule until then too. Hey I figure it would be better than Workamping...in one place for months at a time. We will be moving around in 4 states so we will still be able to see the sights. If it all works out for us with this job we will work a total of 6 days a month and they pay us expenses for the entire week. Well the proof will be in the pudding...so stick around for the adventure. By the way we are meeting Phyllis and Len just outside of Lake Charles tonight...that would be Phyllen here on the forum. Check out the meeting on my journal...

RE: Where on the road after 37 years

Enjoy your travels. Tell Phyl and Len that Sammie, Dave & Trike say Hi. We met them in New Hampshire two years ago and they got us started on RV Dreams.

We should have known you wouldn't stay retired for long :) I'd like to try to work part time at something I love for the rest of my life (that's a long time considering the women in my family tend to live into their 90's and 100's) - I'm still working on finding work that I love.....maybe a chocolate taster for Ghirardelli or Lake Champlain Chocolates.

Been retired 2 months now, worked harder than I ever did at work but wouldn't go back to J*b for anything. Linda is already retired so that makes it easier for me to stay that way.Need to get house sold now.Not a bad idea Speedy, more money is always nice.See you on the road.

Speedy:

We wish you two the best while on the road and hope that your new job will keep you busy.  I have been retired for over 4 years now and wonder how I ever had time to work!  biggrin
