Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

But my call sign is FightingDrag, and yes, i will answer to it in public, and will probably be answering it on CB radio once i get one.  XD

Umm, ill start with a little biography, then lay out my plans.

I was born in stootgart germany in 1989, for my 2 month wellbaby checkup it was learned that i had a bad heart murmer.     (imagine being in a place where most people did not speak english, and somthing was wrong with your new-born         thats my parents shoes)     It was deemed that i was stable for some time so my parents decided to travel for a tad before heading to washington for me having open heart surgery (i also assume some things had to be rolled into place by the government to get me home and into a OR,  we were in germany cause my dad was active military.)     Anyhow, turned out the bad heart murmer were 2 holes in my heart and those were fixed up.       i was on medication for a LONG time...     Ok, so fast-forwarding to my 13th birthday i slamed into a barbed wire fence on a quad,  22 stitches.  WHOOO!!!!!

Ok, so fastforwarding abit more, and we come to past july.  im 19  (july 7th 2008)  i went to UCLA and had open heart surgery for a mitral valve prolapse.  (basically a non fully pumping heart)     I survived, and ya...     it got me thinking, I could have died in that operation.    AND I DIDDENT LIKE WHAT I HAD DONE IN MY LIFE SO FAR         so since then i have been recovering, and getting back onto my feet.    i am now coming onto my 20th birthday and i want to do somthing with my life, and see a bit more of our world.

SO, my plans....

Im getting into my comunity college again and taking automotive mechanic.    and welding.
Then, im getting a good job i enjoy (allready working on that and going well!!!)
Financing a old schoolbus, and making a skoolie conversion.     but going slow.   and making it nicely insulated, and with a extra trailer extension that i can expand to when parallel or use parked next to each other and joined that way.

Hey, im 20, i can be a handyman and learn how to work on a RV and other things.    one hell of a usefull workamping job in my opinion.

when im done and tired of traveling, and want to start a family, (this is why i want to build it nice)  so i might find a plot of land to park it and have it as a house.
Insain, maybe, cost effective, Yes, cause if we get kicked out, we just drive, and otherwise have our house.

Anyhow, i think it would be a amazing thing to do.         but eitherwise, im planniong on having a schoolie conversion as a RV/partybus.
lol

Ya, im weird, but i like meeting people and sutch.       so, Hi family of oddballs!

( www.myspace.com/kidukun         surgery photos and other stuff of me. )

Kyle...sounds like to me you have a plan...not many folks your age plan anything anymore? We are...to some a little odd in the way we live and travel...but then again maybe odd is not the word to describe us. We enjoy seeing this great nation and all God has given us here. Our freedom to do this is so precious and we want to take advantage of it. Being stuck in one place all your life may be the norm but that is not our gig. Come on along with us and see if this life style fits your plans and if it does you can Dream right along with the rest of us. We welcome you and hope that we can be of assistance to you in your endeavours.

I agree with you completely. what Rv'ers do is odd to some, and a dream to others.
