Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
DW and I are set to retire in Sept. 09. I've been an active lurker for several years on this site. We sold our house in Feb. Our DD just graduated from UF in May and is set to get married in June.
We just picked up our new 2010 Carriage 35SB3 that within a few months we will call "home". We ordered it with two A/Cs, dual pane windows, Astro-foil, raised for 4wd, no oven, micro-convection oven, larger fridge, gen prep, w/d prep etc. We will be towing with a 2009 Dodge 3500 drw 4x4 auto with a 4.10 diff.
We hope to see you all on the road at some point! Till then we will continue to follow the forum!!
Hi Pinellas -- I too have been a lurker for a long time and this website has been a ray of sunshine and hope in our pursuit of fulltiming. We hopefully will be retiring in early 2010. We had a 5th wheel 'til my DH fell while washing it last Sept, breaking his heel bone. After a metal plate and 9 screws and still limping, we decided to purchase a MH. In Dec, we bought a new '07 Winnebago Voyage and are loving it. We are preparing our home for sale, but are considering auctioning it. We do not owe much and would like to get it sold quickly, so we can move into the MH and save some $$$. Congrats on your purchase and your fulltime adventure. Hopefully, we won't be too far behind you.
Sounds like you've done your homework and are just about ready to hit the road. Be sure to jump right in with any questions or comments.
Good luck with the rest of your plans. We'll be watching for you down the road.
Jim

Sherri and I have a Carriage and a 3500 Dodge Diesel Mega cab...We love them both and will be hitting the road week after next for Southern Louisiana. Welcome to the forum and hope to see you on here often. I too have been lurking around here for some time and have made many friends here...it is great to add two more to that list today..
Thanks for the warm welcome. I forgot to thank Howard and Linda for the excellent work they have done with their website, blog and this forum. I can't imagine the amount of time it must take to keep these sites active and interesting. So again, thank you Howard and Linda! I know I've learned a lot following their blog and the blogs of others connected to this forum. Hopefully, I 'll have my own experiences and/or opinions to share in the future. Heck, I may even try blogging myself in the near future!
Welcome to a great group!! Everyone on this forum is sooooo helpful. Your new "home" looks great. I know you all will really enjoy living and traveling in your new Cameo. Get out there and make memories!!
Congratulations on the sale of the house and purchase of your RV! Sounds like you're well on your way and that you'll be very busy for the next couple of months. Thanks for sharing your fantastic news!
