Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi! David and I are in the process of getting our house ready to put on the market and move into our 31' TT. We had originally planned to begin this next journey in our lives in 2012 when we both retired. However, the state of the economy has caused us to lose our jobs and we decided that the old cliche "if life hands you a lemon, make lemonade" probably decribes our situtation the best.
David retired after 24 years in the Army and was working on his 2nd retirement when the rug got pulled out from under us. Our new timeline puts us on the road in April 2010 at the latest. We have been weekenders for many years and fulltiming has always been a goal. We are looking forward to seeing old friends, making new ones and exploring this great country of ours.
I think your outlook on life is perfect. My DW keeps reminding me that things happen for a reason, we have no control over it, so we do the best we can and enjoy life. I wish you the best of luck in your transition and hope to meet you down the road.

It's great to make lemonade out of lemons and there's always a reason for something happening. We too will be joining the fulltime RV'ers in March 2010. We'll see you on the road and keep us posted. It's good hearing from people that's selling and hitting the road.

I will have to say welcome to a great family of RVers that love the life style and will do anything to help you out. There is so much to learn and you can cut a lot of corners when you have people that can guide you around them. We are so glad to have you with us and we would love for you to keep us all informed on your progress. Everything happens for a reason and this may be a way for you to do what you really enjoy early on. There are many workamping jobs out there if you see the need to replenish that budget... so just keep your eyes on the future and the wind at your back.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and encouraging words. David and I are excited about getting on the road. We have learned alot from this forum and the RV Dreams website. Alot of info that has been helpful.
