Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hi folks,
 I'm both an ex full-timer and a wannabe at the same time. A long time ago, I had an f150 and a Shadow Cruiser 27' 5th wheel, which I used to travel for work as a photographer. I hit most of the continental USA for nearly three years in the early 90's.  I'm envious of all of the new gadgets and the rigs which have come out since I had my small rig. 
I've settled down in central NY, gotten into woodworking in a relatively big way but I would still love to hit the highway and see america from the behind the wheel with my wife and kids one of these days.
I'm aiming at either a skoolie or a coach conversion as my dream rig, and one of these days I'll start hunting a chassis and start building it up. I've got the woodworking tools, and I'm planning on taking a welding/metal fabricating class to round out my skill set before beginning construction.

Keep it safe out there on the road, remember to increase your following distance on wet or icy roads!

      I think you'll find this a great forum for any and all questions you may have. Like you I like to build and fabricate also but I never did my own RV, I spent most of my time restoring cars over the years. I do enjoy doing the biggest part of my own maintenance. Stay focused and positive and that day will be here before you know it. Gummy...on the road.smile

Hi Ned...welcome to our family of RVing friends. Sounds like you have a plan. We wish you the best and hope to see you on here often. Sherri and I will be taking off on our adventure at the end of this summer. We have waited 35 years for this time and it was well worth the wait.
