Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
The windows on the sides of the slide-outs have two tabs at the top of the bottom window, that you pull toward the center while lifting up on the window. At least that is how it seems to work. I've also posted the problem I have to the owners' forum but no one has a solution and can't figure out what I am not doing, or what I'm doing wrong.
When I pull the tabs and lift up on the window, it goes up between 1/4 and 1/2" and then stops. There is no way I've found to get it up any further. I know the lock is disengaged because when I push it back down I can hear the lock click shut. I've tried spraying the tracks as well as the locks with WD-40 but it doesn't seem to help. Do any readers have similar windows, and is there a trick to opening them? None of the windows will open: 2 in the bedroom; 2 in the sofa and one in the dining table slide-out.

I am thinking since it maybe was never opened the factories do put in a thing of some sort and it needs to be removed. I think they do this for shipping purposes. I remember the McKinzie Mediallion fiver has them in it until we removed them even though it was a used unit when we bought it. southwestjudy
