Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from Canada !

Just found this forum so decided to jump in right away.  Also on two other RV chat forums and learning lots........I think !!!

I've decided to go fulltiming by next Fall (2009).  Sell the house and head for warmer climates.  Me, my two dogs and of course the main reason for my decision.........My Harley !!  Yes, I ride a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic and love it.

My handle really should be "Clueless" though because I don't know a thing about anything mechanical, electrical, or anything else to do with the RV lifestyle.  I don't even know what questions to ask yet !!

But I have narrowed my choice of RV down to a Class C between 26' to 30' and know that I want a seperate bedroom area.  But that's about all I know so far.

So I surf and surf and surf and try to categorize the information into files on my computer by topic and hope some day all the pieces will come together and make some sense.

Welcome, heritage. We, too, are from Canada and are now in our 5th year of fulltiming. We didn't know much when we started out and there's till lots we don't know but we're doing it anyway! Good luck to you!

Where are you from in Canada?

We're from Ottawa, Ontario, the capital city of Canada. It's a beautiful place to visit in the summer. In May there's a tulip festival that is very pretty as well but sometimes it's not so warm then!

I was born and raised in Newfoundland, then left for 30 years, spent 15 of those in Vancouver and 15 years in Toronto, and returned back here almost 5 years ago to help with my elderly parents.

We lost Dad just two months ago and thankfully Mom is very healthy so giving it almost another year to ensure she is doing ok.......I'll be hitting the road for fulltiiming !!!

But boy oh boy......do I have a lot to learn !!  Still trying to figure out what a generator is !!!!  no
