Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
A good place to check out prospective camgrounds is http://www.rvparkreviews.com/
Another easy thing to do is use Google Map and just put in the city and state, with the word campground afterwards and it will bring up a list of possible choices.
A more formal method is to invest about $40 in the Trailer Life Campground Directory CD for your computer.

An intermediate method is to search using ContinuousTraveler.com. It is free, and generally has more accurate positions for RV parks than raw Google Maps, since I try to hand-verify each one (not always easy or even possible).
Hi Phyllis, Lee and I take off the second week in Feb and will go to Montgomery Alabama for the third week in Feb. Then we head west....where are you going? We should keep in touch and maybe meet along the way. Share the first month experiences....I'm a little nervous, how about you? Loralie

Hey - Loralie - After a week around Birmingham we head to SW Lousiana near Lake Charles and then over to Livingston, TX. Then hopefully in mif-late March to Kerrville, TX to meet other RV-Dreamers.
Where do you live in Delaware? We are about 24 miles from Wilmington. Son in Law is from Milford.
Yes, more than a little nervous!!!! Meeting up would be great.
We are staying in the Birmingham area now. We are at the Birmingham South campground right off I65 on exit 242 8 miles south of I459. It is a Good Sams park and one that we are using as our home base park. We are fulltimers that used to live close by and now return here to be with children for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We like this park as it is convienient to our children, church, and old friends. It is close to Oak Mountain State Park which also has campsites but is a little further from the hyways. There is also a RV park connected with the Hoover Met baseball team that is nice, and as someone mentioned Tannehill State Park near Bessemer Al. We will be leaving Jan. 4 to go to our next volunteer project in south Alabama for Jan. and Feb. I hope we can meet sometime. Good luck with your new adventure on the road. We have no regrets. Love the fulltime life.

We stayed at Lakeside Landing in Pell City last week. (Number 9 on the continuous travel map posted above) The view of the lake was very pretty and the park was not at all crowded. Sites were long. It's about 8 miles off the interstate. FYI- Diesel was 20 cents/gallon cheaper at the interstate than it was at the station in front of the RV park.
