Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
An aquaintance of mine has property in Morongo Valley, CA. near Palm Springs. He has a couple of RV spots available that he would like to rent out (low rent) for long term or at least a few months.
Morongo Valley is one hour north of Palm Springs off of Hwy 62, it is considered high desert so the temperature is milder sometimes as much as 20 degrees lower than Palm Springs. The setting is a narrow valley with views of snow capped mountains (San Jacinto & San Gorgonio). The native plants on the property are Greasewood bush, Yucca Trees and varieties of cactus, mostly Chollo Cactus.
Winter temperatures are usually between high 50's to 80 during day and sometimes drop to freezing during the winter at night. Some rain and rarely snow. Occaisionally, strong winds associated with storms rarely above 40MPH. Light jackets and quite often shorts during the winter.
Summers are 80's to over 100 during day and 10 to 30 degrees lower at night. There is usually a pleasant breeze throughout the day to help make it bearable in the shade.
The property has a year round fresh water well and one site has 20AMP the other 30AMP service.
It's conveniently located between Los Angeles, Laughlin, Quartzite, San Diego and Las Vegas (2 to 3 hour drives), several nearby casinos and Yucca Valley (20 minutes) or Palm Springs (1 hour) for shopping and medical. The town of Morongo Valley has fulltime paramedic and fire department.
It's a nice area to spend the winter for snow birds or summer, if you don't mind a little heat. Lots to do within 1 to 4 hours drive, so it's a good base camp for visiting Southern California area.
He already has a caretaker couple, he is looking for an income source due to the bad economy, so he has to charge a low rent for the spots.
If interested, please send a private message to me and I will pass your contact information on to the property owner.
I have no interest in this, only submitting as a favor to a non-RV aquaintance.

Just wanted to add some additional info, based upon comment from an RV'er that checked into this.
This is a rustic setup, not an established campground. The spots have electric and water and a couple have sewer connections to a septic tank.
The other spots have an arrangement that will handle the sewage needs of an rving couple, including RV's with a Washer.
There are a couple of dump station type arrangements on the property, if you plan to use these spots as a base camp for shorter stays.
These are good spots for someone who doesn't need the amenities of an established campground and is looking for a relatively low cost rv parking spot in the Palm Springs area of Southern California.
