Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We purchased a Jayco Granite Ridge Series M-3100S 2004 9000 miles 10,000 below NADA value
We take possession on Friday the 12th of September. We are so excited. Check out my blog for pixs. http://rvinglifestyle.livejournal.com/
Thanks so much for everyones useful advice. We purchased the extended warranty. I hope that wasn't a rip off, we would never be able to fix anything ourselves so probably was a good investment.

It is the kind of thing you hope you never need, but can sleep because you have one. At the end of the period and you have not used it, you may feel it was not worth the money.
We had one on our first MH for four years. The only problems we had were never up to the deductible, or simply were minor enough that they were not covered. I felt as if it were wasted dollars, but when we purchased our current wheel estate, I felt good about plopping down for extended warranty. Yep, we have not used it, but I sleep well.
Any insurance is a bet, they call it a hedge, that you have to lose in order to win! Go figure! At least you have peace of mind while they have a piece of your dollars!
Again, congrats on your new home!

Congratulations on your new home!! I know you have got to be excited. We bought the extended warranty on our 2003 Newmar. We used it one time. We are picking up our new home on 9/15. Not sure if we are purchacing the extended warranty yet.
Yee Hah!!! That's great news. We wish you many years of happy travels and, who knows, maybe our paths will cross in the future - It's a small world after all.
We purchased an extended warranty on our rig and haven't had to use it in three years but it is good for another four years. The price of a new refridgerator would more than pay for the cost of the warranty. Howard has used his at least once, maybe twice. I think it is a good value for the peace of mind that it brings.

Thanks everyone don't want to fill up the list with individual posts. I assume that is frowned upon.
We just got the insurance today only 375 per year including 5,000 content insurance. We do have clean driving records though.
How many gallons an hour of gas would you say it takes to run the generator?
Thanks for all the advice and kind words.
Hope to see you on the road sometime.
