Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Wondering where most of you will be on Labor Day?? The day after we shall be leaving N.M. and traveling to see family and friends in Pa. also hoping to see some of the leaves turning while there.
Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekend are about the only times that we make reservations.
We're slowly working our way from Florida to Portland Oregon to see our son, and it looks like we will be in the Amarillo TX area about then, so we'll pick a CG, call ahead for reservations and then sit tight for the holiday.
By the way, Labor Day is our favorite holiday. It marks the end of the summer camping season, and after the holiday is over, most Campgrounds and RV parks are almost empty. This is especially true of State parks, COE parks and Narional parks.
Ahhh! Peace and quiet!!
Jim

We'll be finishing up our workamping assignment at Lake George Escape. The day after we will be heading for New Hamstir to see our grand daughters (and their parents). After that we'll be off to the Cape for a week or so before heading to the Gypsy Journal Rally in Ohio. I'm with Jim - the campgrounds will return back to us sane people.

Labor Day will find Ethel and myself enjoying the holiday, still in Maine, as our gig at Wild Duck Campground will continue until the middle of October. We will celebrate with bar-b-qued lobstah and scallops, without the BBQ Sauce. The leaves are already beginning to morph red.

We'll probably be in Denali National Park, or Fairbanks, getting ready to exit Alaska soon. The weather is cooling off and the days getting shorter. A wonderful summer is coming to an end.
Meeting up for a day or so to visit with friends traveling up in their 5th wheel, Motorhomes, and also dear friends who live in Bar Harbor area. Happy and safe travels to all. Enjoy!

We will be staying at the stick & brick home. No plans are made until 2 weeks later. We will be picking up our New Horizon 5th wheel. I keep telling my husband that I am not coming back to the stick & brick home. I am so ready to be fulltiming but we will have to wait.
We'll be starting our first workamping gig at Salt Creek County Park in Port Angeles, Washington Sept 1st for two months. We called ahead and asked if we could come early as that is Labor Day weekend. It was no problem.
We will be in Amarillo, Tx. Our daughter is having major surgery and we want to be with her and son-in-law. Not really a vacation, but we will still be spending time with them.

Jeanne and I will be traveling to Sidney Ne. for a cousins family reunion. We haven't had such a get-together since we were kids. We plan to go to Colorado for a couple of weeks of R&R before heading to Kentucky for a 2weeks of volunteer build at a church school. We have spent most of July and Aug. doing volunteer costruction on church related projects in Wy. and Mt.

We arrived in Niagra Falls today for one week, we will be near Schnectady for the holiday weekend. It has been a challenge finding a spot during the major holidays and we are also looking forward to the end of the weekend camper frenzy. Beware, Thanksgiving and Christmas fill up fast in the warm climates. We are heading towards New England for the fall colors, which are already changing here. Then south, trying to stay warm!
Delaine and me will be hanging out here at the View but on the 4 of Sept we will depart for Texas to visit our Son for two or three weeks. Then we will return to Tennessee until the last of Oct and go to Gulf Shores until the week before Christmas and return for some time with the family and return to Gulf Shores and depart for Florida on 1 Jan and stay until Mar. and then return to home base. GBY.....

I will finish up a 10 hour day and fight the traffic back to my home on wheels here in Dallas... where... if I am lucky... I will have time to fix me a bit to eat...watch the news before spending an hour on chat...put on my Captain America sleeping shorts...turn in so I can start the same process over the next day. WOOO I got that all in one breath! I hope you all think about me while you have more fun than the average person should be allowed.
Still stuck in stix and bricks. Can't retire until Feb 09 but will be going to the Dean Melby Car show and pig roast in Evans, Colorado on Labor day.( A car guys heaven) Even once We get on the road I will always find a way to be back for this.

We'll be in Fairbanks, Alaska hoping to see the northern lights. It's been a wonderful summer in Alaska but soon the snow will fall. We'll be headed back towards Colorado.
We will be in Vallecito CO in the Blue Spruce RV Park. Yeah we know, we are the ones who dry camp all of the time but every once in a while we do a week of hookups just to remind us of how much we love to dry camp. (Just left Heron Lake State Park in NM for the last 5 weeks dry camping.)

Gee, I just looked at the calendar and see that Labor Day is just a little over a week away....where did the summer go? I don't know where we'll be other than retired and on the road...probably in Colorado somewhere......our best to all....
We're in Albany, OR for a Country Coach rally. It ends on the 31st, which is a Sunday. We need to hang around this neck of the woods to get some work done on the coach (damn that concrete pillar next to that gas pump), so we'll probably be dry camping in the service center's parking lot . After that it's on to Rapid City to finish up with our residency stuff (register to vote, get the wife a drivers license, look into health insurance, set up a trust and a will, etc...).
