Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Advice?

Hi,
I only joined yesterday and made the decision to get serious about fulltiming only Saturday.  Been thinking about it for a long time though.
Today I stopped at one of the local RV dealers and looked at some 5th wheels and 1 travel trailer.  I looked at the TT last and decided that a TT was not going to cut it for me.
The brands I looked at were Skyline Malibus and Fleetwood Prowlers.  I like the Prowlers more.  I'm thinking 30' would be good.  With no knowledge at all I thought they all looked good.
Yesterday I saw a list of the 'good ones' brandwise to buy.  Now today I can't find it on the board anywhere.
I'm thinking used is more in my budget. (pros and cons?) Also the lady showing me around said if I get one with more than one pull out I'd need a bigger truck.  The smaller truck would be better too.
Any comment or help would be great and thank you ahead of time.

There are other dealers in the area and throughout the state but I just HAD to stop and look!!  Not wasting anytime here!!! smile

Welcome to the family, since deciding yesterday to go fulltime, I would suggest taking your time to find the right RV. Don't buy the first one you like, take the time to research what will fulfill your needs. Go to RV shows, look though the different RV forums (Escapees, RV.net, Goodsam, ect). Ask questions in this forum. We have decided, thanks to RV-Dreams, to fulltime next year. Good luck in your adventure.
