Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have been considering selling our new Teton fiver and go back to a motorhome. Just not happy driving a MDT when we get to our destination. It restricts our ability to travel the backroads. Our only complaint with motorhomes (we have had 5), is the TV located over the dash. Most seating faces each other and you have to sit sideways to watch TV - poor engineering all these years.! Anyone researched Class A's that have side entertainment units so we can have a normal arrangement like our fiver has?? Thanks

That was one of the things that I did not like about my MH. I did not like having the E/C up front where you had to line up on both sides to watch the TV. Sherri has found a couple of MH that have the E/C in the middle of the coach and they are pretty nice Still you have too much traffic in front of the TV. I guess you have to take some of the bad along with the good. I just like our setup it is more like a house.
Time to hit an RV Show. You might start with the industry site www.rvia.org go to events.
I have seen several newer floor plans with very slick and practical EC setups amidships. One design in particular has a family room type setup followed by the galley followed by the bath and then bed. I do not recall specific brands/models. The slower method is to review floor plans from several manufacturers online. They all have their models online.
After reading your post again I realize you're looking for an entertainment center on the side, not the rear like the Allegro Bay. Oh well, I'll keep looking!
We have a Class A 2002 Rexhall Roseair and it has the entertainment unit directly behind the passenger seat. It sits at a perfect angle to watch TV from the chair, L-shaped couch or while doing dishes. We love this layout and can't understand why more manufacturers don't do something similar. Over the years we have thought about upgrading but just can't seem to find a layout we like any better than the one we have. Brenda

My wife and I looking for a DP with two free standing euro chairs so we a move them so you can watch tv straight on. We now have a 5th wheel with chairs facing the tv. We are not sofa people so finding a coach with the right floor plain has been a job. We throught we wanted a euro chair and computer desk but now think two chairs would be much better. A desk seams to take up too much space. Mid coach tv's are real nice but very hard to find. It sure has been fun looking for the right coach. Rob
