Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I finally decided to take the plunge. I have been a lurker on this forum for LONG time. What made me decide to finally become a member? It is the great attitudes expressed, the excitment for RVing, and the willingness to help others. We would like to be a part of this group.
My husband and I plan to begin our fulltime adventure in about a year. I am an elementary teacher and need to work another year to take care of some things financially. My husband, Tom, is already retired. He will be researching our motor home choice, as I am teaching each day. Who has the fun job?
We followed Howard's journal each day during the Rally. We did have a hard time handling our envy!!! Everyone seemed to have had a wonderful time. Soon we will be there...
San Antonio is a great place and I am sure some of you will visit during your travels, but we are itching to see all of Texas and beyond............
Welcome to the RV-Dreams forum. Lots of good folks here with good answers. There are no dumb questions. Feel free to ask away.

Welcome to the family. It is everything you described and more. These people are wonderful. Some of us will be in your general area beginning March 1st. We will be at Buckhorn Lake Park in Kerville. Some are staying 1 week, some 2 weeks and some a month. You are certainly welcome to join us, even for a weekend. Drop into the chat room if you want more info. Would love to have you.
While I am new myself, I would like to also welcome you to the forum. I introduced my wife and I in the "Okie" newcomer post and received some very nice responses from others here.
I must add to one poster's comment. They mentioned that there are no "dumb questions". Well, my comment over the years is that there are no dumb questions, but there are "smart aleck" answers. However, I would imagine that "smart aleck" answers wouldn't be appreciated online. (It is hard to sense sarcasm and teasing in the written word.)
Anyway, good luck and have fun.

Sherri and I are fulltimers but we both work so we can eat until our retirement dates. Funny how that works?? We would both like to welcome you to the forum and hope that we get to meet you next March at Kerrville...which at that time we will have retired. We do not have many answers but we sure can tell you how to have fun...Join us on the live chat anytime...we would love to have you.
Welcome. My hubby and I started fulltiming July 1st and we love it. We are not retired, we are just taking a break from our careers while we explore this beautiful country of ours. So far we love the RV lifestyle and can't imagine going back to a regular house. We are currently brainstorming ways to make a living so we do not have to go back to the 9 to 5.
We are also fulltimers and go to San Antonio every year to visit son and daughter-in-law. We'll be at the Buckhorn gathering as well for the whole month of March. It would be great if you could come up too!
