Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Safe guarding your rig while your away

There has been a lot of talk about safety in RV parks and while boondocking so I just thought I would share some ideas with all my Dreamer friends out there. If you see somthing we can add to this list feel free to add it....

Speedy

1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men's used size 14-16 work boots.

2. Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns
   and Ammo Magazine.

3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazines.

4. Leave a note on your door that reads:

Hey Bubba, Me, Big Jim, Duke and Slim went for more ammunition.
Back in an hour. Don't mess with the pit bulls - they attacked
the camp host this morning and messed him up real bad. I don't
think Killer took part in it but it was hard to tell from all
the blood. Anyway, I locked all four of 'em in the RV.
Better wait outside.

Hey Speedy you started my day off with a good laugh. Good way to start. I love it.
Did you come up with that on your own or did you read it somewhere?

Good one Speedy.
Sort of a lock only works for an honest person.

Since on occasion we go for a day or two to different locations in the area we always want to make sure the reffer is working.
We will put an Ice Cube on a plate in the freezer; upon return we check the state of it.  If it is the same, very good.  If it changed shape and melted and was refrozen we know we had a problem, time to check the contents of the reffer.

Seems I saw a little sign in a house window one day (brick and sticks one) that read:

"This home is protected by a Colt .45 for three days each week.

You guess which three days."
