Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I know some on the forum are workcamping for the summer months like Howard and Linda and JoAnn and Doug. How many others are also? I was thinking it would be a good idea to see so if you are raise your hand.... southwestjudy
We will be running our boat rental business, living in our fifth wheel full time and then we take off in the winter months and vacation. We go to Vegas, where we lived for 40 years and stay at a park and go to the buffets in Vegas and visit old friends and then we will go on to CA to visit Mom in Napa for a bit. And then..........well, we will see. Then back to run the boat rental business and maybe this year we will hire a workamper and take off for Alaska for the summer with some other friends who are full timing? It's a great life and we love it.

I start my workamp assignment tomorrow....working 4 half days a week at Conestoga Campground in White Sulphur Springs, MT. Been here since Tuesday getting to know the area and sightseeing. Think I'm going to like it.
Hello, We have been workamping since May of 07. Worked in New Hampshire last summer in the White Mountains and did a lot of sightseeing in that area. Over the winter we were in Florida working at a place that uses workampers as dirt. (Will not go back to that place) At the present time we are 25 miles west of West Yellowstone in MT. Made about 4 journeys into Yellowstone and did a lot of sightseeing in the area, such as Virginia City, Nevada City, Quake Lake area, the CD and the just enjoyed the area itself. Both of our summer workamping jobs have been great and we have worked for some great people. We are taking the winter off and will be in Avon Park, FL for the winter just to hang out and play golf.
Ethel and I are camp hosting at a small, private CG on the southern coast of Maine in Scarborough. Wild Duck Campground is reasonably small, gated and adults only. It is absolutely beautiful and quiet!
We love it, and the owner is the most wonderful young man to work with. He is a perfectionist in customerology and has such a passion for the campground.
Come October 20th, we will head south back to Jacksonville for three weeks and then head out again.
Charles

We are 19miles east of Pioche, NV which is 165 miles north of Vegas. Eagle Valley Reservoir is where we rent out the boats. http://www.bigfishboatrental.com. We have been doing this for nine years and three years ago we sold our house up here and bought our fifth wheel and have loved living in it. We were going to sell the business but I just could not let go. As I previously said we are going to try to get a workamper this coming year and maybe go to Alaska. But I also have an idea of expanding and renting out Quads in addition to our boats..........so. We'll see. I think my wife still wants to get another house and as we get older maybe we will. I will be 67 in Nov and that's not old and I don't feel old. I like the fifth wheel but I have seen some really great pushers and a friend of mine just bought a new one. They are more convenient than the fifth wheel, but each one has it's advantages. This lifestyle and the people who are in it are really great and we have enjoyed ourselves since starting fulltiming.

Judy and I are workamping at Lake George Escape in the Adirondacks. We both work in the Fun and Games Department where play is our work. Judy works in Honey Bear Store as well as doing Games, Crafts, and Events. I work at boat rental, tubing trips, driving the tractor for wagon rides, renting pedal carts, and driving the shuttle. The only issue we have is that we are working too many days each week.
The Adirondack Park is 6 million acres which makes it larger than Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Glacier, Yosemite plus a couple other National Parks all put together. There is so much to see and do that we could never get through it all in a life time. We enjoy the mountains and there are just few up here in northern New York.

Charles & Ethel, Going off subject, but we were so surprised to see where you are as we were just there a few weeks ago to get info as we live on the seacoast...until the house sells and we go fulltime. Now we go RVing all along the coast in the MH. Beautiful spot indeed. WILD DUCK IS A LOVELY place to summer and work. Small world. Sent you a private message .
