Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Clamptite Tool Follow-Up

I'm wondering if any of the RV-Dreams family bought a Clamptite tool from me at one of the RV shows in Pomona, at Quartsite (Main Event not Tent) or at one of the car shows in Southern California.

Just wanted to know if you've used the tool and how has it helped in repairs.

I haven't sold them for a while and plan to begin selling again at some of the local sunday car swapmeets.  I'd like to hear from you, so I can feel comfortable that the tools are of use to RV'ers and shadetree mechanics.

What is the tool you are referring to? It sounds interesting. I am looking for something to sell along the way. I am thinking about knives, flashlights, small hobby tools, and so on. I might be interested in what you have. Thanks,

Go to www.clamptool.com to see the tool.  This website belongs to the distributors that I used to get my tools and wire from.  I haven't sold them for a few years but they were a hot item at car, gun, farm, off-road and RV shows plus county fairs & flea markets.   They require a 2-5 minute demo to sell effectively.

My favorite is the all stainless steel tool.  However the lowest price tool works just as well.  The all stainless just feels better.  It was my number one seller.

The stainless steel wire is handy for outdoor applications, no rust and good tensil strength.

The Clamptite sold so well I stopped carrying other products and just sold the Clamptite Tool, wire and liteflares (below).

I don't know who's website this is, it was the first one I came across on Google.  I would have several of these turned on and running in the booth and the batteries would last for nearly two weeks, it was amazing.  At night you can see them for over a mile away.   A lot of the off roaders and boondockers  bought these to put on the top of their RV's so they could find their campsite at night when out in the boonies..

A friend had great luck selling rope.... all kinds of rope.  He had spools of rope for all kinds of uses from light weight to climbing to ski ropes...etc.

Good luck in finding stuff to sell it's a lot of fun and can be rewarding.... sometimes even financially rewarding.  

I was setup across from the guy that invented the RV-360 holding tank vent the first time he sold them at Quartsite...wow did that product take off.  He ran out of product in the first couple of days and had to go back to L.A. to get more.
