Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I'm a longtime lurker first time posting. My wife and I are in our mid forties (Howard, you and I share the same birthday and same year) and we are hoping to be fulltiming in about 8 to 10 years. This would be after our son is grown and on his own.
We have been talking about doing this for about 10 years. Actually my wife Deb used to full time back in the seventies when she was a teenager. Mom, Dad, Deb, her brother, dog and cat all lived in a Itaska class C for about 6 years.
Howard and Linda your website has been very helpfull and inspirational for us. Thanks for all of the info. We especially like your daily journal.
Good morning! I have been a lurker for only a few days and am very impressed with RV DREAMS. If I was granted only one word to describe I think I would choose REFRESHING. I visited other sites, which I will not name, and quickly grew tired of some of the people who only wanted to brag about what they had and what they thought they knew. There is much to be learned from this site and am looking forward to a long relationship and asking many "dumb questions". I wish we were only counting the days until fulltiming adventere but it is actually 3 more years.
Welcome to the forum. Glad you finally decided to join in. Hang in there, and maybe you won't have to wait that long.
Fiver Get You Ten,
Welcome to you also. After you've been on this forum for awhile, you'll learn that there are no "Dumb questions" here. Everyone has to learn, and sometimes very basic things can seem confusing. Don't hesitate to ask.
Jim

Welcome! Pretty cool that we have the same birthday, year and everything.
Thank you so much for the kind words and be sure to come here for any questions you have along the way! It's a great group of friendly, knowledgeable folks.
I think you may be one of the first to describe our site as "Refreshing". I like that a lot! Thank you!
As Jim said, there are no dumb questions and we certainly hope to have a long relationship as well. Three years is not that long and you can get loads of help here. Take advantage of one of the friendliest forums on the web!
