Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from the snow

Hi! I've lurked a few times here, thought it might be time to join. My name is Kris, we are not really in Colorado (well, not right this minute, you never know) but KrisinCO has been my screen name on RV.net for many years.

Al and I have been RVing for many years, first with 5th wheels, then a Class A we called "the gray whale" and now in our Super C we refer to as our retirement home. We only have a couple years until retirement and this past fall decided to begin the slow down process. Al had been working 60+ hours a week operating heavy equipment, it was taking a toll on his body and we never had time to do anything fun. He accepted a job as electrician at a government project in Bedrock, CO, we put our house on the market (it hasn't sold yet), loaded up the Seneca and headed out. The first couple months we boondocked but then the weather turned cold. Right now we are in a mobilehome/RV park in LaSal, UT near Moab. Perfect if not for a foot of snow and temps in the single digits. Not exactly what we had in mind for fulltiming!cry But you can't beat the views!

We met George and Ms Tioga a couple years ago, he is my idol! And I just finished reading Froggi's blog from start to finish.....WOW!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!smile

Welcome KrisinCo. I too am loving reading all the different blogs. We retire come April and have an 8 month trip planned in the Fall of 2008, we're trying before buying into the lifestyle. Luckily have a son who lives in our town to peek in on our house weekly. Wish it would warm up for you in Utah. Karebear

Welcome KrisinCO.

We are also in a trailer park here in Maryland in our motor home called the Dough-Boy. I will retire Dec. 28th and we head to Florida on the 29th leaving the snow behind. Now I'm going to check out your blog, stay warm. Gummy

Thanks everyone!
Gummy, I have read parts of your blog, let me say, you are my kind of "redneck"! BTW, I have had a recent bad experience with a propane dealer myself!
Froggi, no I am not a glutton for punishment, just got thoroughly engrossed in your adventures and the things you have done that closely emulate my life experience. Eventually I will get around to all of that in my blog.
