Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

HI All

I would like to introduce myself and my DW Sally. we are 55 and just about to go FT. The house on on the market and were just waiting for it to sell. The market is a little slow out here in CA but I think in a moth or so it will happen. I (Mike) am the one that usually looks at the forms and post the most DW (Sally) is mostly and onlooker but I'm trying to change that.  We have RV-ed all of of our married lives, 36 years mostly just doing the off road thing at Pismo and Glamis. We just sold the Next Level 38FKS and the Ford 350. We thought that when we FT it would be nice to have a Class A so we picked up a Itasca Ellipse 40 KD and love it.

Howard and Linda I have been following and living vicariously through you for several months, hope to meet you down the road some time.

smileHi Mike and Sally.
Welcome to full-timing, Wednesday morning we will sign a contract on the sale of our house. If all goes well we will be closing on October 19th, we will stay here in Maryland until the end of December then head to Florida. I hope your house sells quickly so you can be on the road soon. We listed our house in May and I guess for a slow market here as well that wasn't to bad. Good Luck and we will be looking for you on the road. Gummy smile

Hello Mike and Sally. I have the same problem with my DW. She likes to look over my shoulder and tell me what to type in but she will not get on the forum herself??? Go figure. We too are about to sell our house. We live full time in our 5ver here in Coppell Tx while I work in Dallas. As soon as we sale the house we will be able to travel some but I still need to retire for the big move. We are excited about your joining us here and hope that you post often and keep us informed on your progress.

Welcome Mike & Sally, this is a wonderful place to learn about your new lifestyle and make great friends!

My DH & I have been fulltiming in our Class A for about 9 months now.  We love the lifestyle, although we're not traveling right now due to a family illness.

Oh, and in this family, the DW (me) is the one who reads the forums and posts on them.  My DH just smiles.

Glad you've joined in and best of luck with your house sale!

Happy Travels,smile
Ellie

Hi guys, welcome to the forum!  We are among the group that has a house to sell.  We have had it on the market now for 3 weeks and already I am growing tired of the hassel.  We had a great looker this past week.  Came back 2 or 3 times, drove by several times but NO contract.  As we all know, it is the contract that matters!!
I hope you have a fast sell and are able to get out on the road to enjoy your dream as soon as possible!!
You motorhome is very nice.  We have an Endeavor DST and really love it.  We are currently hosting at a state park near our house so we have gotten used to living in it.  Our time hosting is almost up though and will soon have to move back into the sticks and bricks.  Maybe it won't be for long!!
Oh by the way, in our house I am the "poster" and reader not my husband but that is because he is not retired yet and I am!! Yea!!
Take care

I think that 5 minutes after the CLOSING, is what matters.  " Many a slip, 'twixt cup and the lip " !    Been there, done that !!    hmm   Look what Froggi went through.    Penny, TX

LakeConroePenny,
I stand corrected, you are very, very right!!  Five minutes after closing is the goal.  I can't even imagine what Froggi went through with her house issue.
We'll all hang in there and have a grand closing party!! LOL

The five minutes is for you to get out of their office, BEFORE you start hugging each other, and dancing a jig !   biggrinbiggrinbiggrin   Penny, TX
