Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello Everyone! I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now and thought I should post and thank you for a great place to get information on fulltiming! My hubster decided a couple weeks ago to retire early and fulltime and I have since been searching everywhere for information on this new lifestyle. We purchased our new 5ver a couple months ago and are not new to camping. However, we have a lot to learn about fulltiming. Looking forward to being a part of forum and meeting new folks.
Jan

Welcome to the forum and the Full-timing lifestyle.
There's a lot of information on these pages, but if you have questions, be sure to ask. There's a great bunch of people here that will try their best to help you.
Maybe we'll see you down the road one of these days.

Hi, Glad to hear that you made the decision to fulltime. As you said you were lurking for a while and hopefully you did get some infro. Also being a camper for a period of time we can use your experience on the forum. Once again a hardy Hi
Thank you for the welcome! Have found so much information but I am sure we will have questions. Presently we are trying to decide which 'stuff' goes with us and what we will store and simply can't part with! I think hubster's tools are taking up my space, too! LOL! We have a DVD on fulltiming and a book on domicile. I am still wondering what will be best for us in the satellite tv and internet. Also, I was told Verizon seems to be overall best for cell service across the country and we already have that plan. I am really hoping our place sells quickly and we can be off on our new adventure! Hope to meet you two on the road!

Hi Jon and Kathleen! I am still amazed my hubster made the decision to fulltime but glad he did! There are so many places we haven't been and so many friends and family we haven't seen in such a long time that I am really looking forward to it! Looking forward to meeting and making new friends in this new lifestyle too! I see there is a Community Member and a Family Member status here...not sure about the difference...did I do something wrong when I signed up here?

Hi Lois, thanks for the welcome! I think I will love this forum of friendly folks! A little about us...hmmmm...live in Wyoming. Thinking about SD domicile. Have a miniature dachshund celebrating his 15th on the 27th of this month. A little hard of hearing and doesn't see very well but happy and active for his age. Raised two sons doing lots of camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, motorcycling, black powder shooting, rendezvous, tanning hides, baseball, football, well, about everything you can do with sons living here. LOL! Some great memories. Both of them are in the Navy. Oldest may be retiring in a couple of years so hubster wants to beat him to retirement so he doesn't retire first! LOL! Neither of our sons will be returning here to live, grandchildren are elsewhere with their mothers and almost all of our friends have left the area or passed on so we decided to fulltime and have some fun!

Hi Jan & GC, welcome to the very best online rv community! We're originally from your neighbor state of Colorado. We've been fulltiming since Dec. 17 of 06 -- remember the big blizzard? We got outta town the day before it hit!
We wish you the best of luck with your home sale and getting on the road. Join us in the chat room in the evenings, it's fun and informative. Post your questions here on the forum, lots of good experience and knowledge here.
Welcome Jan and the old Hubster, Just within the last hour we accepted a very nice offer on our house and should go to close by mid October. I hope your home goes quickly also and you guy's can be RV Mobile soon as well. The gang here at RV Dreams are a great source of information and an extended family for the full-timer. All the best and we'll be looking for ya on the road. Gummy P.S. My DW calls me Gumpster.

Welcome to you from the two of us. Sherri and I have been fulltiming for the past year. We love to see new folks come on the forum...We know that means we will have that much more information available when questioins come up.
Welcome guys! Congratulations on your decision to full-time. We are in the house selling stage ourselves. We have our full-time "home" and are currently hosting at a state park near where we live. I am already retired (teacher) and my husband will join me when the house sells. Glad you decided to join the forum here. It is unique in that the folks are friendly and you should never feel awkward asking questions. There is NO put down. We learn from each other! Hey, I guess that makes us a family. LOL! Good luck and we look forward to hearing your progress. Good luck on the sell of your house! Keep us updated.
Thanks for the welcome Gerri and Mike! Hope you get your house sold! Really glad I found this forum and hope to meet all of you sometime on down the roads!

Now that the house is sold, you can concentrate on the really important things, like do we turn left or right at the next intersection!!
We're looking forward to crossing paths with you one of these days.
Have fun!

Congratulations Jan & GC, Real happy for you. We can't wait. Our house is on the market, but with all the snow we got here on the seacoast of NH this winter houses have not been selling. Hopefully Spring is coming, and it will sell soon. Can't wait to join you on the road. Larry will be retiring this summer, and we're ready to roam and join the fulltimers. We bought our new motorhome last June and have it all to set to go... Thanks to all the help and support from Rv-Dreams. Great forum, and the nicest group of people. Welcome, and congratulations again. All our best wishes. Arlene & Larry
